I can not say enough about John , the food and his staff! we ran a card and mahjongg party at our development, the Seasons at Elwood today and everything was perfect. From the moment we met John to the moment of delivery everything was great. He made great suggestions and helped us plan a great menu. the food was superb and super fresh. The breads used were delicious too! this deli deserves more than 5 stars. thank you Northport Deli.

The people here are super super friendly. They always have a smile on their face and the food is very good. It doesn't matter how busy they are, they will always serve you your food with a smile. My boyfriend grew up coming here in high school and he says that the food has not changed. Personally my favorite is the buffalo Bill sandwich or the lumberjack. The new renovation looks really good!

This place was amazing going back 15 years. Now not so much. The original crew that new what they were doing all left and now the newbies do not no how to make a sandwich. I always get egg salad which is given with a nice portion. Today I got a girl who looked new and placed about 2 tablespoons of egg salad as a sandwich. I heard about how they treat their staff horribly. All their old staff work at different deli spots like the north side deli. The food and service has become very poor here.

This place went from our favorite deli to the worst overnight! The salads, potato salad used to be delicious now they are just plain awful! What happened??? I ordered cold cuts and the roast beef was tasteless and like shoe leather. The prices went up dramatically but the quality went way downhill.Please bring back the quality and lower those prices!

This place has the best food of any deli I have been to but the service is legitimately horrible. Every time I come here I get the same attitude from the same unhappy people. Today was the cherry on top. I wanted to order 3 sandwiches, and after I said the second one the lady just started making the food without asking me if i want anything else. Now im hungry and sad and its all her fault.

Food is good but service is awful. Most rude staff on the North shore. Been coming to this deli for years since a kid. It is disappointing. I still go thinking it is different but each time I go it is met with a new staff that is equally as rude. Don't go here if you can help it

I think this is one of the best Delis on the island. I'm surprised the rating isn't higher because they have such good food and make killer sandwiches. Really good prices to and they don't take forever to make a sandwich either. No room to sit, so grab your stuff and go, no time for that nonsense. If you need a sandwich, and you're in the area, go here, you won't be disappointed!
