So glad we returned for a pre theatre meal. We had gone after it opened and thought then that the Birdie Bar didn't know what it wanted to be - now we feel the menu, service, even the glassware has struck the right balance. We'll be back.
If you haven't been to Birdie Bar, all I can say is you are missing out. The Uptown Girl cocktail was an incredible start to the night. Off the hook short rib nachos, buffalo chicken spring rolls perfectly paired with crumbled blue cheese did not disappoint, best tuna tartar I have ever had, the sticky ribs were to die for and the French Dip needs no introduction. We were told to take your time, but we were rushed out after an hour and a half. Looks. Apologies. The whole nine. I think the opener should be “Welcome to Birdie Bar as we are happy to have and serve you. Please note, that due to space restrictions, as party of two you have a one hour and 30 minute time limit for your meal.”
