Let's start with the good IMHO Sweet Mama's is a super cute inside! A nostalgic blast back in time. Cozy booths, marble-topped tables, and classic dining tables and chairs. They have done a wonderful job of capturing that 1940s Americana feel. Service was good, attentive, and friendly. Coffee came in a carafe so refills were not an issue... that was nice! The food was a real letdown on both meals - remarkably meh to disappointing which was a morning bummer! We ordered the chicken fried steak & eggs and the chipotle avocado toast. Both were so meh to blech. The avocado toast came on hearty grainy bread, well toasted, smeared with a somewhat chunky avocado spread, a heavy drizzle of chipotle sauce, and topped with chopped bacon. The bread was toasted but soggy... how? No apparent seasoning to the speard... Zero. Sure you might think, flavor will come from drizzle, but that's not true, the drizzle doesn't bring enough to the dish or make the avocado pop without it being seasoned first. Bacon - was greasy heavy tasting... not crispy and bright... more no pop. No balance to the dish. Avocado toast is not simply avocado on toast folks, it is supposed to be a balance of flavors and textures that start with the avocado. The chicken fried steak itself was unremarkable, the sausage gravy is more sliced sausage water heft or spice, but super loose and just salty. The biscuit was something else.... gummy, and pasty, with no flakiness at all. The grits... Could not, did not have more than a spoonful. Oily and heavy aftertaste.

We could not love this place more! For a wonderful breakfast stop on a Saturday morning, or a rare treat during the work week, we can't beat Sweet Mama's.

One of the best breakfast/ lunch places in the Northport/ East Northport area.
This is the 2nd time I'm visiting this location (my grandson & I enjoyed the first visit).. Everybody when making eye contact greets you..Today (Tuesday), our server Kenia M, brought big smiles to our table.. My wife & I enjoyed chatting with her..My wife got the Mimosa Flight & I got the Spicy Fully Loaded Bloody Mary ?.. My wife to her delight had the Hot Honey Mac & Cheese ?.. I had the Hangover Skillet??, not that I was expecting a hangover ?..

I’ve been coming to Sweet Mama’s since I was a kid and it’s such a consistent, comforting, and enjoyable dining experience. I go most often for breakfast, but their lunch and dinner menus are great too. The vibes are nostalgic and the food is just the same. I’m always so glad to be there when I am. My top breakfast recommendation is the spicy avocado benny. So good!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The restaurant had poor food, awful service, and a terrible atmosphere. What is worse is, I did not add a tip yet they thought it would be ok to charge my card an extra $10 and I would not notice. A tip is DESERVED not mandatory. The restaurant did not deserve a tip and tried to STEAL money from me.When confronted, they refused to agree and I had to initiate a dispute with my card company. I will definately take as much action required to get this resolved.DO NOT go to this restaurant. It steals and is not worth what they charge you.
