We were seated promptly, which is always nice when you have a reservation. Didn't try to force us to wait at the bar for our table. Drinks and food were also served at a nice pace, and our server had a good personality. The restaurant is small and cozy and we liked the fact that it was crowded, which is a good sign that people enjoy the food and ambiance, Definitely will be back.

We had a wonderful experience here! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and they were kind enough to give us the table we requested. We were also out right in time to make it to our play down the road, which we really appreciated. Everything was handled perfectly • highly recommend.

Ambience: This is not a large restaurant and it is a little tight at some tables. However regardless of where one sits, the noise level is very low and conversations can be had easily. We were there on an early Saturday night, prior to the 8pm show time at the Northport theater. The place was full. Not an empty stool at the bar nor empty seat at any table. Food: Grouper, pan seared, with onions, olives, capers, plum tomatoes and white wine (basically a puttanesca sauce) is standard on their menu and is excellent. Monkfish was a special for us and also excellent. I do not recommend the pasta entrees. Service is attentive, amicable and polite. Prices are reasonable. Overall very enjoyable and I will return.

Really enjoyed our meal at Harbor House. Food was delicious. Rice balls, burrata cheese, calamari all outstanding. Pork chop entree was delicious. Service and atmosphere were both excellent. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good food, reasonable prices, and a nice quiet setting right in the heart of Northport.

Celebrating the start of the Christmas season with dinner before the Northport tree lighting. It's become a tradition to go to Harbor House before the lighting and it's always perfect! Great food, cocktails and service!

Good service, excellent food selection and presentations...chocolate mousse was the best...almost as good as the one I had in Paris

Always a wonderful meal as well as overall experience at Harbor House. We shared the fried calamari which was very tender as well as the avocado with grilled shrimp appetizer which was very good. There was a special branzino entree which was very good as well as the filet mignon entree, which was cooked perfectly. Always consistent and always a place we often return to in Northport.

The pretheater dining at the Northport's Harbor House is outstanding and highly recommended. Our party of two started with cocktails (Grey Goose dirty, French Martini) and fresh salads (Wedge, House). Whether apples, tomatoes, and mozzaella accompany each other well is another issue. Dinner plates included the house recommended Seafood Penne Bowl and Veal Scallopini. While the former was exceptional (and too much for one), the Veal was flavorless and under-seasoned leading us both to question "where's the proscuitto?" as we simply could not find it. Wine selections with our meal were excellent - chardonnay and malbec. Dessert (Crème Brûlée) was excellent along with the coffees. Overall, this selection of items ran a $180 tab which was reasonable value-for-money in the current economy.

As soon as we walked in the staff was welcoming and friendly. My wife and I had the filet of sole. It was soon good we were talking about the next day. Can't wait to go back. Also the price was reasonable.

Sumptuous seafood risotto and a very large portion! Quiet, understated and always a pleasant meal in a town that has become almost too popular!

Ordered filet of sole in lemon sauce. It was not sole, most likely flounder. It was dipped in egg and flour and fried, then left to sit in the lemon sauce so the flour got gummy. The asparagus was practically raw and untrimmed, the mashed potatoes were hard as a rock. Not a very good overall experience. Very small and extremely noisy on a Tuesday night. Can't imagine how loud it must be when the bar is full. Would not recommend.
