I recently moved from New York City to Valley Cottage in Rockland County and have been searching for a real NYC-style pizza place. After trying a few spots nearby, I finally found Village Pizza in Nyack — and it’s exactly what I was hoping for!

Tony is super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The service is quick, the staff is great, and the pizza is absolutely delicious — thin crust, perfectly cooked, and tastes just like classic New York City pizza. They even have an extra-large 18-inch pie, which is a huge plus.

They also offer delivery, which is super convenient. If you’re craving genuine NYC-style pizza in Rockland County, Village Pizza is the real deal! 🍕“

“A really great BBQ experience. We've been driving past this place for years, never had the opportunity to stop in. Today we made a special trip just to check it out. Well worth it! Had the ribs, chicken, and shrimp combo with q side of beans and potato salad. Oh, and cornbread. Chicken and ribs falling off the bone, no need to use the knife. Shrimp are nicely sized, and coated in an excellent cornmeal batter. Sauce on the ribs and chicken is sweet and smoky, exactly what my ideal barbecue sauce would be. The wife had the pulled pork sandwich platter with a side of mac-n-cheese, all of which were excellent. The platter came with a tremendous amount of fries! This is a counter service establishment, and the girl behind the counter was upbeat and very friendly. “I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after meeting James, the new owner of this Korean fried chicken spot. James is a sweet older gentleman who genuinely asked me for feedback. You can tell he truly cares about the food and his customers who order from the store.

The crispy boneless chicken is my go-to with the sweet and spicy and soy chili garlic sauces, which are both full of flavor and go really well with the pickled radish.

It’s also super convenient.. place your order, do your grocery shopping, and by the time you’re done, your chicken is hot and ready to go. It’s become an easy and reliable part of my routine.

I’ve also ordered for Super Bowl Sunday and casual takeout nights and it never misses.

One quick note about the person taking your order at the counter.. they aren’t an employee of the business. They work for the supermarket and take orders for other food vendors inside. So if the service at the counter ever feels rushed or off, don’t let it reflect on this business. The owner and the food absolutely speak for themselves.

“Decor probably hasn't changed in 40 years, which is part of its charm. Really good food (try the chicken scarp), and drinks. Prices are as low as you can get. If it's crowded expect a very slow kitchen.“
