As a loyal customer who has dined here for years and recommended this place to others, I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered takeout and was told I couldn’t wait for my food inside the restaurant. I understood and stepped outside, but then I was told I couldn’t even wait by the door. This was an experience I’ve never encountered at any other restaurant, and it left me feeling unwelcome. It’s unfortunate that this establishment doesn’t prioritize its customers in the way it should.

Generally like their food so we went out of our way to go there tonight in freezing rain. After being at the doorway to look for another restaurant because it was a 45 minute wait the male waiter told us to move because we would “muck up” the area. So we took our 8 and 5 year olds elsewhere. SMH.
The Ukrainian spot was a joy, had delicious food and the waiters were really kind and attentive.
Used to be a big fan of this place, but the gentleman was quite rude to us just now and I don’t think I’ll be back

They can't substitute a little bit of salad greens in place of four giant pieces of bread?
I wanted to support this local place but I don't eat carbs, so I ordered the burrata cheese plate and ask for a little bit of greens. They couldn't make it possible. They won't see me here ever again.
What if you are dining with friends who eat pasta and bread and you do not? Can't you figure out some sort of option?
Even though I live a few blocks away and would love to come here regularly for the music, ambience, and very nice staff. Cappuccino was on point, with non-dairy creamer options. Window seats overlooking the sidewalk are the best thing ever!
Oh well, you lost a customer as long as well as the rest of my family. Be a little more flexible next time. It wouldn't kill you to put a handful of lettuce on a plate.

Disappointing Experience with Small Children
I visited this small, cozy restaurant with my 3-year-old and 4-month-old, and the experience was frustrating. The space was tight, and while I was managing my stroller and kids, I ordered Cacio e Pepe and half chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken came undercooked and had blood in it. I showed the waitress, who took it back to be cooked more, which was fine, but it caused a significant delay in my meal.
I had to take my kids to the bathroom twice, which added to my frustration. Navigating the path to the bathroom with a large stroller was difficult, and there was no changing table, so I had to improvise. When I returned, the food was finally ready, but the waitress asked me to move my extra stroller seat, which was impractical given the space and the gear I was already juggling. She even suggested I fold the stroller, which wasn’t realistic with a baby and all our belongings. Her attitude felt rude and unsympathetic, especially considering the challenges I was facing.
Ultimately, I left without enjoying my meal. Given the undercooked chicken, the lack of family-friendly amenities, and the staff’s lack of understanding, I won’t be returning.

DPNB is worth it every time!! Everything I’ve had here is phenomenal. Anticipate waiting during a dinner rush, but the patience pays off with the fresh ingredients and top of the line service! Never a miss here!

Incredible pasta that revivals anything I’ve eaten in NYC! We loved the low key no frills vibe and attentiveness from the servers. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Nyack

Listen I love this place. But never update the hours for vacations or time closed. Get the vm try to order online but you say your open but guess your not - come on. I own retail businesses I understand how important it is to update your hours. Also check your order when you leave - process has gotten a little sloppy. Had to go back twice for items missed - not happy after a long days work.
We recently discovered this restaurant. I am glad we did! We will defs be going back. The trout, pastas, and grilled chicken all hit the mark. Cucumber salad was great as well.

Such a cute, small restaurant!! Great atmosphere and service. We came to hide from thunderstorms and eat some dinner. Amazing Burrata appetizer, as well as both our pastas ? with fresh ingredients. We were sitting next to huge window, enjoying our food and watching rain.
