My wife and I enjoyed The Grand Cafe, Oakdale today. The FOOD was delicious, service was excellent, prices very reasonable. We will definitely return!!! I gave them 5 stars, my only criticism is that the entire place reeked of cooking oil. This is an easy fix, please do so. Otherwise, I can see myself as a regular here.

Love this place!!The Grand Cafe is a wonderful throw-back to a family run luncheonette/cafe. Everyone on the staff is friendly, the menu items are delicious, and the prices are very reasonable!Directly across from Oakdale RR Station- you won't be disappointed!!

I got the Proud New Yorker Hero and it was amazing and reasonably priced for such a big sandwich. The meat on the sandwich was amazing along with the fresh bread and tasty macaroni salad.

Super cute old school luncheonette/coffee shop. Breakfast all day! The pancakes were super light and fluffy. I had the "Mrs. Naples Veggie Omelet" and it was so full of spinach which I love! The bacon was crisp and perfect. Plus the prices can't be beat. They have a featured coffee flavor every day. Today was Pistachio. Great little place. We were happy to support a growing local business.

Stopped here for breakfast after taking a long trip out from NJ in the area. Mike was so friendly and the service was excellent. The prices are extremely fair and food was perfect! He makes his corned beef hash homemade mixed with home fries and it was seriously the best I’ve ever had! I wish you were in NJ bc I would eat here everyday! Give this place a try, you won’t regret it :) thank you Mike!
The owner was rude and nasty taking my order for egg sandwiches over phone telling me it would be 10 minutes. When I got there 15 minutes later, he was even more nasty telling me that he couldn’t give me my takeout order because people sitting were waiting before me, which makes no sense. And the place wasn’t even full. If you can’t be nice, how do you expect to retain a customer base. And the food is not even that good, just convenient proximity. Skip this nasty j******

Me and my hubby came here for lunch today and we were very happy with our food. I had the LIRR hero...hot roast beef with mozz on garlic bread...so very good! My hubby had the Gator sandwich...fried chicken breast with pastrami and bacon with melted cheese...amazing! I loved the cole slaw and Mac salad too. We will eat here whenever in the area. Friendly service, clean and very low prices. A must try!
