“I'd recommend this place ... sort of. We chose to sit on the dining side since it was only two of us and didn't want the "show". The service was friendly and good but not overly attentive. Our drinks were very good and a fair price (we had the Oceanside Zombie but without the Sprite added). We both ordered the hibachi surf and turf (lobster and filet mignon) which came with a house salad and clear soup, both of which we really enjoyed. The filet was tasty but the pieces were cut very unevenly so some pieces were medium rare and others were close to well done. The lobster tail was very small and too salty. I would not order it again. I was completely disappointed that the veggies were drowning in teriyaki sauce. There was no indication on the menu that they are served in sauce. I typically love hibachi vegetables but I hate teriyaki sauce! They reminded me more of Chinese takeout vegetables than Japanese hibachi. The fried rice was good but not the best. It came with lots of peas and I hate peas. Another disappointment but not a surprise was they don't offer hibachi mustard sauce. Like so many other places these days they offer yum yum sauce instead which we refused because, yuck yuck. They offered us some ice cream on the house (I think because the server knew I was very disappointed about the teriyaki sauce). It came to the table in little plastic cafeteria style cups with the pull back paper top. LOL. I'm glad it did though because the top listed the ingredients and let's just say, we immediately sent the ice cream back. All in all, not the greatest hibachi experience but also not the worst. I would maybe go back for drinks and try some other menu items ... and hold the teriyaki sauce!”

“The atmosphere was great and food tasted yummy. Since it’s my first time here, I don’t really read the menu and the staff was very patient to explain everything to us, especially to remind us not to order too many since we’ve only got two people.

“Mario’s Pizzeria is one of the best pizza places around. The crust is nice and crispy, and the sauce tastes fresh and homemade. The workers are super friendly, and the service is fast. If you want good pizza made with fresh ingredients, Mario’s is the place to go!”

“Without a doubt the closest cooking to remind me of home. Catfish and Shrimp pivots was amazing. Crawfish Etoufee, chicken and sausage gumbo and chicken sausage and shrimp jambalaya was spot on. The food here is absolutely delicious! The kebabs are perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked just right. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything is 100% halal, which makes it even better. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick. Definitely one of the best halal kebab spots around—I’ll be coming back again and again!”

“The recent change of ownership has been a welcomed positive for this establishment. Bagelville is spacious, and there's always room to sit down and read the paper with your bagel and a coffee; that is if you're old school like that. The main reason for my review is the service component of the equation. Oftentimes, Bagel spots can be understaffed and chaotic. People crammed in, long lines, and lackluster experience. My guys at Bagelville want to make sure you get what you came for, and leave with a smile. I recently brought both of my children with me, and it was refreshing the way they interacted with the staff. Overall, if you're in the area, give them a shot. You won't be disappointed. The W7 breakfast wrap is a healthy start to any day of the week.”

“Meta always goes above and beyond for a fabulous dining experience. This past Sunday, I called to see if it was possible to bring in an Elvis impersonator for my Dad who is in remission from cancer. Not only was Roberto and his staff receptive to the idea, the whole restaurant was singing along with Elvis and all of us. This night was truly magical and I cannot thank Roberto and his staff enough for making my Dad’s dining experience so memorable. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and the dessert was delicious. If you haven’t tried Meta, I highly recommend this fine restaurant for a wonderful night 🎉”

“Love Just Salad! This location definitely had its growing pains since it first opened. At first, the service was slow and the employee engagement was poor. This seems to have changed, I met Luis the manager and things seem like they are running well! Rams made my salad and didn’t an excellent job - made sure it was made to my liking and was engaging throughout. Great job turning this location around!”

“I’ve been to every local coffee shop you could think of within the radius of Oceanside to Long Beach. Without doubt this is THE best local coffee shop in the area. Small, quaint little hole in the wall type of shop next to the Oceanside train station that puts out THE best coffee and baked goods. The Pistachio Tiramisu was a total knock out, so so so so good. The owner Vish has to be one of the nicest people I’ve met as well. A hands on owner you can find behind the counter whipping up coffees or out on the patio engaging with his guests. Very nice spot I highly recommend coming here. Their cold brew is the best.”

The staff is always super friendly, the custard and flavored ices are always so fresh. I got the vanilla custard with the cherry ice! (Which has real bits of cherry in it!). “Came here on the way home because I was craving Chinese food. The place is small but seems clean. The lady that took my order did look very exhausted as if she just wanted to go home already. But I placed my order and got pork fried rice with fried chicken wings and an egg-roll. They were pretty quick! The food tasted fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will come back here for sure. “Was beached out after 3 days Labor Day weekend so on Monday did some shopping and hit this place for the first time. Double Shack Burger, Fries, Vanilla Shake to go. It didn't disappoint. Decadent dining experience! But I can't eat that regularly... Maybe next Labor Day! 😉”

“Honestly, it's my favorite place. They are so attentive and work with any questions or concerns you might have. I have gotten takeout and have dined in both, which have been amazing. If you want to eat there, ask for Kenia, a lovely waitress who cares about her customers. If you are looking for an appetizer, get the fried calamari. They make it just right. Some places make it too crispy or chewy, but I have never had that happen here. If you are looking for a panini, I would recommend the Asti. It is not on the menu, but you can still order it. As for dessert, GET THE FLAN!!! It has a fantastic taste and the perfect texture, which so many places go wrong with.”

This restaurant is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff set the tone for a fantastic meal. The menu is packed with authentic Chinese dishes, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The Kung Pao Chicken was perfectly spiced, and the dumplings were the best I’ve ever had—fresh, juicy, and so satisfying!

The portions are generous, and the presentation is beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and their recommendations were spot on. You can tell they take pride in what they do.

If you’re craving incredible Chinese cuisine, look no further. This place deserves all the praise and then some. We can’t wait to come back!

“We went there for an early dinner on a Saturday. The restaurant was not busy and we got seated right away. The restaurant is very clean and well organized. They have good quality plates and silverware. The bathroom was clean as well.
Our orders were taken timely and we prepared in reasonable time. Everything was delicious! The branzino was superb! Even the greens it came with were excellent! Chicken parm and our salads were delicious as well.
I could only grumble about prices: all the dishes are close to $30.”

“This is my favorite fast food restaurant on the planet. All my life I grew up going to the Nathan’s on old country road in Westbury, NY. When they closed it, I was heartbroken. But luckily there is the Nathan’s in Oceanside and it’s going strong. Food was great, prices were great and great people working there. I will be back!!!”

“The food is always great here. Right now they have the moes value meal deal which has been both affordable and filling. I'm a free rewards memers which I highly recommend, especially if you go often. The staff are usually nice and accommodating as well. The booths are clean. The wall art is funny. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars for atmosphere is because it is pretty noisy inside, at least for me. I usually wear my loop ear buds in there if I'm staying to eat so the sound doesn't get to me.”
