This restaurant was a bit out of our way, was recommended by a friend. About 50 min north.
The staff was very friendly, especially our waitress Elizabeth. Food came promptly enough, but was served luke warm. Glass of wine a little over the top at 14 $ for a glass half full.

A place that seems to remember its own history of long ago boardinghouses, railroad stations and active rail lines. A very comfortable feel. Holiday weekend Saturday night Lots of people; very busy. Table for two out of the flow yet there was someone with us in five minutes. One of the five staff members, including our waitress Catherine, that would visit the table during the next hour. Friendly and unhurried in the midst of a full house. Very well run experience. Our food was excellent And the prime rib lived up to its world famous billing. Hot and perfectly cooked.
Definitely a place to feel good and have a good time.

Busy yet pleasant. The dinner selection was plentiful. Thierry main selection is the PRIME RIB. 12oz or 20 Oz or 32 Oz. Ben prepared to take a nap afterwards.
Rustic yet charming little gem tucked away from it all. Perfect for a romantic dinner or family affair. Food is always good and people are friendly.

We wanted to go to the café across the street but it was packed and we noticed this place was empty (first red flag) we ordered drinks that took 10min for a beer and old fashioned. Then we get our appetizers, which the potato skins were so good I took a picture of em. Our server Elizabeth (who seemed annoyed with us from the start) took our entree order when she dropped off our apps. We ordered 2 pasta dishes. Starving we ate our apps and another 45min go by with no food. I looked at the picture I took of the potatoes taken at 7:07pm it was 8:10pm when I got up to see what was taking so long for our food. A 5 top that ordered AFTER us had gotten their food and FINISHED their plates before we got ours. Our server? Just kept passing by, not saying a word to us. Few min after I got up to ask where the food was the manager brings it over and I ordered vodka sauce, she brings me noodles with like 5 pieces of diced tomatoes... she sees my face and offers to bring more sauce (still no server we actually dont see her for the rest of our dining experience) well the sauce was absolutely inedible, looked good but the main ingredient was definitely vodka. I love vodka sauce and im not sure the cooks know you're supposed to cook off the vodka, but with each noodle it tasted like I was taking a warm shot. I was so hungry I tried a couple more bites but felt heart burn coming. They offered to take 50% off our entrees when it should've been completely taken off as I just couldnt eat it. Left hungry and disappointed. If we had better service may want to give it another try but probably won't ever come again.
Absolutely amazing!!! We were visiting from far NJ and it was such a treat !!!
Had the best French onion soup! Wife had a delicious duck while I had an amazing prime rib. Wonderful historic place

I look forward to eating here every time I’m in the area! I love the food! The service is awesome! Every! Time! I especially appreciate the gracious and generous nature of the people who work here. And the owners are wonderful. They have an establishment that consistently provides an excellent meal and the perfect place to catch up with old friends.
Delicious food, attentive service. Even the side dishes are delicious, not an afterthought! They were slammed with customers last night and we did have to wait for our main course. But we never felt neglected and the owners generously provided another round of bread and drinks. Heartily recommend!
Holiday weekend and there is a band at the bar. Jackson’s got a new owner a year ago. My understanding is that he has never done a venture like this. Every time I am here, I see him. Last time we were here, he asked the bartender/manager to call a take out customer because the kitchen forgot to add something to their order. THAT’s how you do it, Iggy! (Being proactive). The restaurant business is tough, but he is doing the right things to make this work.
My wife got the Sirloin and immediately didnt like it. I didnt believe her and tried it myself, and it was one of the worst steaks I have ever tried. I got a burger (forgot the name) and again absolutely awful. This also goes with the potato skins we got as an appetizer, and it tasted like it was put in a microwave.
Our waitress could care less we were there. I would never go back
Had to take a detour on the way to Maine. We stumbled across this place and it was delicious. Glad we find this hidden gem.
