we had a retirement party there. the staff was more than accommodating. smiling and interacting with our group. the food came out relatively quick. best part was our group if 11 people all received our food within minutes of each other. I would say within 5 minutes the whole group had their food. the food was spot on and the staff was happy to make special requests. for me the calamari app was great . the peperoncini peppers were a great touch. my prime rib was just as ordered and another guest suggested getting it Baltimore style. I was not disappointed. would highly recommend this restaurant. make reservations especially on the weekend.

Visited this gem during a short trip and 1000% recommend. The food was so fresh, everything was delicious. My son and my dad had the nachos for appetizer, I had fried green tomatoes, my kiddo had a burger and fries, my dad had French onion soup and Baltimore surf and turf . . . All delicious!!! I also had clam chowder and the surf and turf. So much food, plenty leftover and everything was so good.

1st time visiting last night. So, not sure if we just had bad luck but from start to finish we were not impressed and will not be back. We made reservations, so when we arrived we were seated promptly in the lounge area. After 10 to 15 minutes of no waitress I asked if we were supposed to order at the bar. They told me no, a waitress would be right with us. She came, took our drink orders and we were ready to place dinner orders also. My boyfriend ordered an appetizer and my friend and I just ordered our meals. My boyfriend got his app in a timely manner, at that time I asked the waitress if we could get the bread now as well. She replied that it usually comes out with the salad. I said that was fine, could we get those now? Her snarky reply was "Well if he is okay with it, we do appetizers 1st" I said yes he was and she replied with "wow you must be hungry" at this point she could tell I was not impressed then started to "joke" saying his salad wouldn't get cold anyways. She was loud, obnoxious and not what you expect in a steakhouse. Our meals then came out, also in a timely fashion. We all ordered the filet beef tips. They were awful!!!! My friend ordered medium well and they were over well, no pink at all, tasted burnt. Mine was medium and some pieces were rare and others well done. So tough and chewy. Definitely not filet. My boyfriend ordered mushrooms with his and they were disgusting. All in all, very disappointed, worst place we have eaten in a long time. We were excited to go from all the great reviews, but we won't be back.

Jays place is one of local favorites! The service is always on point(love Angie as our server), but everyone is great! Food is always amazing and delicious and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.
