“I have to start by saying how amazing the Wayland Brewery and staff are! We hosted a retirement party for my husband in Wayland Hall and couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. It’s not often where your top three criteria (venue, staff & food) are exceeded and exceptional. The venue – I can only describe it as simplistic beauty. It’s gorgeous and designed so well that it can fit any theme. The staff - Wayland has a gem in Tara! She worked with me throughout the whole planning process, doing whatever she could to make sure our event was special. So, when that day came, she didn’t disappoint! Her attention to detail, and reassuring disposition, showed the confidence she had in her ability to put a nervous host at ease; through her experience of listening and executing. This was all I needed, I left her and her crew to do what they do best, and they did! Everything from the setup, décor and placement of special items was just right! I am still receiving feedback on this wonderful staff. Our guests were well taken care of, even with special requests I didn’t know about - done! They allowed me to enjoy the party and honor my husband without worry and I am so grateful for that! Shout out to: Tara for being any and everything to us! To Noah, Bella and Whitney, the best bartenders ever – YOU DID THAT – The smoked drinks were a hit and the vibe you helped create was awesome! To Jules and Caelie for their tireless efforts in serving us with nothing but JOY & SMILES – dedication at it’s best! To the head chef Jacob and both sous chefs Ani and Dave, thank you for keeping our palettes happy and craving more, the Food was DELISH! If anyone is thinking of booking an event with Wayland, don’t hesitate, just do it! Once you are given the "Wayland Experience" it will make you want to find a reason to book another event...just because! They went above and beyond to make this celebration memorable and special! “Great food, bartenders were awesome. The beers were fresh and there were plenty to choose from. One thing it does need is another TV at the other side of the bar. This would help when there are any home games on, you can watch it from either side of the bar.“

“I’m the furthest thing from a beer expert, but I’m trying to learn and find some stuff to have both while I’m out and at home- and I want to support local. Well, Alex did a great job of explaining everything about Southern Tier’s selection, and I enjoyed everything I tried!! On top of that, the food was exceptional, and he was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met. Give the man a raise!! Haha. Great worker, great place! “Great first day at Spotted Octopus in Rochester! Loved the beer, food and especially the service. The new systems threw the team a few curveballs, but the staff kept their cool and made customer satisfaction the #1 focus. Opening on parade day proved to be the perfect pressure test and they definitely succeeded.“

“Went for their Tuesday burger special which is two burgers, two fries and two beer for $30. I had the Texan burger which came with two patties, bacon, cheese, blue crumbles, and barbecue sauce. My friend got the diner burger, which was essentially your standard cheeseburger. For my beer, I got the blueberry spring, which was a sour beer with blueberry lemon and lavender. I don’t drink sours very often, but this one was a solid offering. In terms of the burger, it was very good. Everything was perfectly cooked. The fries were nice and crispy and it was just the right portions of everything. We were able to order our food at the bar and they just buzzed us when it was ready and we picked it up from the counter and enjoyed time out on their patio. I would return again to try other food off the menu as well as some of the different beers on tap as they regularly rotate.“

“Shout out to Jade! Came here bc my “celiac family” recommended it. Been sick for 5+ months. Didn’t know it was celiacs. First time eating out in a restaurant since, and Jade was PHENOMENAL! “I held my wife’s 40th surprise party here. Everything went perfect. Talked with a gentleman named Mike who helped set up the reservations. Everything was emailed and there was great communication all around!! The day of the party, we had Jordan as our bartender/waitress. She was unbelievable!! Her service was the best I’ve had EVER!! Would highly recommend for anyone to have a party there. They put us on the second floor where they had games which helped with some of the kids that were there!! 10+ stars if I could!!!“
