10 minutes before closing we rolled in HUNGRY after a day of hiking gorges. They took our order patiently while we struggled to decide. Food came right out. We had chicken and ribs. It was delicious. As we were expecting the folks to be in a hurry to leave, the owner actually came out and had a great conversation with us. One of the last things I asked was how he got the name Jackpot Richie. You'll have to stop and ask for yourself ?
We stumbled onto this authentic roadside BBQ on our returning trip from Seneca Lake to NYC. We ordered a sampler, which includes a chicken leg & 3 baby ribs, a side order of homemade coleslaw and buffalo mac n cheese. The order is absolutely filling for 1 person, but it is also great for 2 of us.Chicken leg was smoked perfectly without broken skin, juicy, with flavors. Wonderful service. I think the owner was around too. Very kind and funny gentleman. The folks at the register were very polite and answered all my questions (and even waited a moment while I went to get some change). Lots of options. The salt potatoes are delicious. The tzaziki dressing was absolutely my favorite. Can't wait to try the ice cream next time we visit.
