“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. “The service was friendly, fast and efficient. We shared 2 types of oysters that were extremely fresh and very tasty. I opted for the soft shell crab sandwich and without a doubt the BEST I've ever had. This restaurant is a little far off from where I live BUT I, without a doubt, will be visiting again. My group and I were not disappointed!!!“

“Breakfast is our favorite meal and we eat out every morning. Due to an early morning doctor appointment, we bumped into Buttermilk’s Kitchen. Great vibe as soon as you walk in….friendly and cheerful staff, nice decor, immediate service. I had the “The ‘Ol Barnyard”…..the sausage gravy was excellent with big chunks of sausage and super flavorful…..probably the best I’ve had here in NY and most of the South!!! The bacon was high quality and very tasty. My perfect over easy eggs were so fresh (yes, I can taste the freshness and quality just by having a bite of the whites!). My husband had a “Create Your Own Omelette” and declared that is was a “work of art” (I was offended because I make a darn good omelette and he never said that to me!) We were concerned about the “hash browns” because that usually means just cubed and fried potatoes, so we were very pleasantly surprised at the delicious shredded and seasoned, crispy but soft hash browns. Our regular coffee was good and hot, and they offer several “craft” coffee options. The Banana Foster French toast looked delectable! The lunch menu looks good, as well. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Wanted to come to this old fashion, sit down restaurant for awhile. Very clean. Waitress couldn't have been nicer. Chicken with broccoli was fresh and tasty. Spare ribs were large and meaty. Many takeout orders were being picked up on a Sunday evening. Recommend.“

“I attended an event Friday night and this place blew me away on so many levels. The food was amazing, but the service was even better. Between Kaitlyn giving me a sample of one of the wines because I told her I was picky about wine and Zack accommodating an absolutely ridiculous request, they were all just amazing people. I’m autistic and I make some ridiculous requests sometimes, but Zack didn’t even bat an eye. I have pet rats and I saw that broccoli rabe was on the menu as a side, so I asked if I could take home like a single piece and he didn’t even blink, he just said to remind him before I left. I will definitely be patronizing them in the future“

“Del Fuego has the BEST salsa sauce for chips. They provide their salsa and chips free!!! On one of my visits, Paige was just an awesome waitress!!! She knew the menu so she was easily able to make suggestions. She was super attentive and friendly and efficient. A real sweetheart. Unfortunately the salad lettuce was soggy but still the salad was tasty. The pulled pork burrito was good. Chips and salsa are always out of this world!!! Portions are great.“
