My family and I love visiting here for the best ice cream and then watching the trains go past. It is a shame and loss to the area that they are being forced to close. The owner of the building should be ashamed of themselves. We have so few good ice cream spots especially walking distance to a park. Hudson Creamery will be greatly missed.
Incredible ice cream shop, variety of flavors, and scenic location. Sad to see it go.
This ice cream shop has so much charm! It's in an absolute beautiful area right by the river where you can enjoy a walk after stopping by to order something. I had the strawberry ice cream and it was fantastic, it has the perfect strawberry taste and it's not so overwhelmingly sugary like many places will have. They have so many flavors and topping to choose from. I got it with fresh cut strawberries and a waffle cone and it was delicious all together! The interior is so charming and the staff are very efficient and kind. You can't ask for a better ice cream shop here!
Good place for ice cream lovers. We liked the store. But it was busy and the queue was little long.
Very good ice-cream and atmosphere. Right next to Riverside Park too. Apparently its closing after this year? So if you are in the area definitely make the stop!
Decided on some ice cream after lunch at nearby Peekskill Brewery. The ice cream was delicious — I fried the banana cookie in a waffle bowl. Prices are reasonable! They also had vegan ice cream options for those with dietary preferences. In the store there was a little yellow brick road going to the counter which was cute, I included a photo here.
The ice cream is good, but they seem to close when they want. Supposed to be open until 8 on Sunday. It's 715 and they are closed. Not good if you drove out of your way and they close 45 minutes early.Disappointing.
Just like its name, it's very creamy!! There are so many flavors you cam can choose. If you are in the mood, the sundaes might give you a boost. Price is like the other icecream parlor- acceptable!! Old fashion bar stools and photos on the walls... Eat-in or Takeout to riverside are both brilliant choices....
Fantastic ice cream ,friendly staff, close to park
I had a amazing Peanut butter sundae. The employees were extremely friendly. My sundae actually had enough Peanut butter to go with the vanilla ice cream. Definitely returning again.

The old lady was extremely rude, to her employees and me! I asked for a soft serve vanilla cone, the gave it to me in a cup. When I let her know about the simple mistake she rudely asked what kind of cone and stuck it In the cup! I said no more took the mess and left. FYI it wasn’t even good and I discarded the ice cream
Ice cream was amazing. High quality ingredients, great variety of flavors. The woman who took our order was kind and patient. The cashier was a disaster. Easily distracted and left our ice cream melting on the counter to gawk at the bicyclist who was whining that he didn’t have cash. Would come again but hope that we didn’t get that same cashier again!
The service was not all that great but this “cookie monster” sundae made up for it. The homemade ice cream itself was pretty good although a lil on the expensive end.
It’s hard to not have a pleasant experience at an ice cream shop, but that’s what mine was. The place was admittedly busy, but that’s no excuse for poor service. My cup of ice cream was left on a tray behind the counter (and therefore melting) while the staffer grabbed our other items, including two milkshakes. Speaking of the milkshakes, they are ridiculously expensive at $8 PLUS $1 for whipped cream, which was not communicated that there would be an extra charge when they asked if we wanted. Who charges for whipped cream?! There were a variety of flavors and it was decent enough (again, hard to mess up ice cream) but I will not be going back.
RUDE SERVICE——-Went in after dinner next door with my two teenage children to be greeted and waited on the rudest person I have met in a while. She barked at us to get up to the counter when it was our turn, only to interrupt us before we could speak to leave the counter to yell at 3 small children in the ice cream parlor. After we each selected a sample to try she interrupted us again to yell at the same 3 children who simply opened the door to the refrigerated ice cream. Before we could request another sample bc we didn’t like the first one she so abruptly said “just so you know you are only allowed 2 samples” and the tone of what and how she spoke to us was so incredibly rude we simply walked out. I have never in all of my life been chastised for wanted to try ice cream before I buy it. We won’t EVER be back there again.
