We happened to be attending a show at the Paramount in Peekskill and didn't know the restaurants. I go by reviews and came upon the good reviews for The Central. The restaurant did not disappoint from the service and friendliness of the manager and staff to the very good food. Will definitely be back.
A favorite spot in the city for dinner! Great food and drinks, interesting menu options, and a consistently welcoming staff. The location by the river in wonderful, with a large outdoor patio. Enjoy the Central often and will be back soon, many thanks!

I ordered the porchetta sandwich. It looked better than it tasted. The ciabatta was not a true ciabatta and did not go with the sandwich. The porchetta was just crisped up pork belly and was skimpy on the portion considering the price of the sandwich. The waitress said I can substitute the fries for any of the sides but didn't state there would be an upcharge.
