“I met my teaching professional here. This is state of the art. Definitely the cream of the crop as it pertains to golf matrix info. The staff was great and I was given a complementary soda. They bring cold water to the golf bays which was a very nice touch of service. It was a great experience. Staff was great. It is the most expensive of the indoor golf venues.“

“It's been a very long time since I was back home. Stopped in here with some friends and family on the first snow you guys had in record-breaking time in January. Steve, Kenny, and Casey and the owner took fantastic care of us. We had a great time. Enjoyed the game and we're welcomed by deep snow on our way out. They allowed us to close the bar with them enjoying the ambiance of a busy bar now empty towards closing except for the strong team of coworkers present. The food was good, the team was great, and the environment was excellent. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The next time I'm back in town I'll see you back on the East End. Too bad they didn't serve any food though. Very mixed crowd of all ages. They have bands on weekends sometimes and I noticed they had a sign indicating live Bluegrass Sundays. I brought it to the hostess attention and she pulled out an in-house menu that says no Groupon. What good is that gonna do if you don't know ahead of time? “My friends and coworkers have come for years especially for the Tuesday wing special. I’ve recently moved east and found that the biggest barrier to meeting up with friends was that parking in the neighborhood was really spotty. On the last trek out, I found out that the owner was able to procure a lot halfway down 50th street. You just have to grab a little postcard placard from the restaurant and put it on the dash. You do have to be out by 11 or you’ll be locked in so be mindful when the game goes into overtime/extra innings.The Tuesday wing special is still the best. Kitty is greatest and always makes people feel at home. Their food is great and the owner is so friendly.“

I looked at the check twice. $60.00 for food, normal sales tax, and the onerous CC fee. C'mon, the cc fee should be no more than 3%. The food was really good. The pea soup was hot and tasty. the fried chicken with bacon sandwich was delectable. This is one of our favorite go-to casual restaurants; we have been going there for years. The CC fee should be changed.“

On this day, I was invited to a business lunch and I normally don't order the steak but I took a chance. Not a great choice. Steak was subpar. I always order my steak medium. It wasn't flavorful. Green Beans and Yukon Mashed Potatoes were ok. The problem was everything came out the kitchen lukewarm and not hot. I've had plenty of steak from different restaurants and this was probably the worst. Outside of this experience, I always enjoy my time there. “We had the VFW in Astoria booked for a celebration of life for my mom and brother. We waited and waited and no one showed up to let us in. A crowd began to gather and still no word from the VFW. My wife and sister searched the area and stumbled up The Local. They explained our situation and the bartender was more than accommodating.
