We had a birthday celebration tonight at the restaurant and it was fabulous! Our server, Ethan was exceptional, the owners came by several times to check on us and best of all the food is beyond delicious. I will be eating there as often as possible! Bravo!!
Enjoyed dinner at Osteria Allora. The tomato and mozzarella appetizer was absolutely delicious as was the bread service. The housemade tagliatelle with bolognese sauce was excellent. Osteria Allora is a wonderful addition to Penn Yan’s dining scene.

Osteria Allora is a cozy, rustic Italian restaurant in a basement location away from the street. The restaurant opened in July. The menu is small but offers great Italian fare. Meals are preceded by Italian bread with sides of olive oil, ricotta cheese, and pickled peppers. Dishes include an amazing bolognese, chicken cacciatore, Monkfish, wild boar ragu, strip steak, pork marsala, pork tenderloin, tomahawk ribeye with spaghetti, orecchiette puttanesca, and flat iron steak. The tomatoes in the caprese salad are the most fresh tomatoes of the season. The olive oil paired with the bread is amazing, as is the ricotta and sweet corn dip. Desserts include pistachio ice cream, French press coffee and dessert, and panna cotta with peaches and basil. The atmosphere is classy, and the service is kind, attentive, and exceptional. The cocktails are excellent and the wine list is great. The food has amazing flavor and beautiful presentation along with excellent fresh choices at a reasonable price.
