If you wanna take some folks out to a fancy place in Perry, the lumber yard, is it.The décor is kitsch and the food pretty standard fare for a steak-houe-ish sorta place. 3 out of the 4 people in my party had fish fry, which was a lot of food. The last person had chocolate peanut butter cake, and they said it was rich. They were also impressed that the coffee came in cute little glass footed cups.Lots of parking.

Waitress Ashlee was great!!! Food was TERRIBLE!!!! Food poisoning warning. French onion soup had no flavor and onions were still white and crunchy meaning they weren’t cooked long enough. Italian clams were served with Parmesan. Seafood and cheese don’t go together and my husband said they were slimy, I refused to eat them. The table behind us ordered seafood and I could smelllllllll the fishiness. I mean it was so strong whatever they had was surely dead and left out to rot before being smothered in butter. I had chicken Marsala and got two tiny 3oz chicken breasts, that weren’t seasoned, and shriveled up they’d been cooked so long. Vegetables on the side weren’t cooked properly or seasoned and were extremely watery. The Marsala sauce was the saving grace but it was broken and riddled with butter. My husband had a medium rare steak that came mooing with super white fat and wasn’t even seared. No seasoning on it at all and it was served with “scallops”, there was one, tiny salad shrimp that were probably thawed and thrown on, and shredded crab meat with peppers… why the peppers? It doesn’t go. I picked up the scallop and smelled it. Extremely fishy!!!! I told him not to eat it but he said it’s so expensive he doesn’t want it to go to waste. Fast forward 10:00 at night I’m driving to the nearest store that has pepto because he’s so sick with food poisoning he can’t even think straight. $100 for something I could cook myself and better… no thank you. At least season the food before sending it out! Serve artisan homemade bread not sandwich white bread. It doesn’t take that long after it proofs. Cook the onions in the French onion soup till dark brown but not burnt and SEASON. Don’t serve onions you threw in beef stock and warmed up. Mildly frozen scallops and shredded canned crab meat is not ok especially with tiny salad shrimp. If you say surf n turf you need actual normal shrimp. Definitely wouldn’t go back. If it’s not fried and smothered in salt it’s probably not good.

Best time in a long time !! We were heading to Elmira for a hockey game and randomly chose the lumber yard for a late lunch early dinner, We got there around 2 on a Saturday. The waitress, Chris was great , very friendly, very informative . The food was excellent I had the big cut of prime rib, no bone , hardly any fat just meat ! My son had the biggest juiceous wings and wife had the chicken and artichoke , all unbelievably delicious!! The salad bar was how a salad bar should be , all fresh , assortment of toppings and dressings . I Also partaked in some of the ribs and at a buck apiece at early bird time , delicious, so much food we took home left overs that were eaten the next day . This joint is about a hour and a half from our house but we will be taking a drive to go back for sure . I would highly recommend this restaurant , it has an old school vibe to it with unbelievable food and service!!

Very disappointed in our dinner been coming here for 35+ years and have always had the casinos and stuffed shrimp on the menu I would of at least hoped you would of posted that your menu has changed.always new it was more expensive then it should be but most of the time it was enjoyable tonight's meal was not worth $150 that's for sure prime rib was barely warm and tough and stuffed haddock had no flavor its always the same, new people take over and change things up it usually doesn't end well good luck in the future we will be going past to perry to yard of ale in geneseo from now on

The soup and salad bar by itself is a little pricey, and the soups that I tried were very salty but if you get any other food it was amazing some of the best prime rib I ever had and the fish fry was huge so overall it is a definite one I will be back

This is a good solid American restaurant. It has a nice appearance and feel inside - the atmosphere is good. It smells great as a mix of seafood and beef. The service was excellent. The salad bar and drinks are also excellent. There are a few minor things that need tending to with regard to the food. For example, the bread came cold. I had parmesan encrusted scallops which came floating in a lemon oil sauce that I believe was supposed to pass for a lemon butter sauce. It was okay but not great - next time, the broiled scallops. My wife had the parmesan encrusted scallops and a 10 oz slice of prime rib which was kind of tough but still tasty. The desserts are not made on the premises. While the cost is not exorbitant, it is still substantial. As such, it demands that the minor issues with the food be corrected.
