We’re from Texas and are spoiled with good Mexican and Tex-Mex, so we weren’t even going to try any New York Mexican food. But I’m glad that this was the last place open in town, because it forced us to try it. It was very good to excellent. I especially recommend the mango salsa (like pico de gallo with mango) and the chicken-lime soup. Ordered: Mango Salsa, Chicken Lime Soup, Black Bean Soup, Plantains, Tacos Al Pastor, and Aguas Frescas. It was all fantastic! The plantains were like candy! The Chicken Lime Soup was fresh and bright. The Black Bean Soup cooled any spice that was too strong, and the Aguas Frescas were sweetened to be wonderfully refreshing! We are from Texas and didn’t expect to find even good Mexican food, but this was fabulous. I’d go again.
