“Absolutely hands down one of our favorite places now! We were just passing through and the restaurant caught our eye so we decided to stop on our way home. So glad we did.The woman who took our order was lovely. I believe she was the owner as we chatted about how long they've been there. Their food is unique and has fun names!I got the Mexican burger with bacon, waffle fries, and a drink. Hubs got the Cowboy burger with sweet potato fries, and a drink.The flavor is out of this world. The atmosphere is so fun -- a juke box, retro decor, a more private area good for families with kids games. Great ambiance. We were both happy with our choices and will definitely be back with the kids!!”

“My first experience with Stissing House was for my birthday dinner with friends and it did not disappoint- we had a mixed group of people who drink and people who don’t and there was a great selection for both- I had a salted lime mock-tail -I believe — and it was perfect. I also had their chips, pickled vegetables as sides, coal roasted scallops in green butter sauce our meal came with perfectly dressed watercress - it was all quite tasty- sadly I was not able to eat any of the desserts due to dietary restrictions I wish I didn’t have to follow- but the group said they were delicious! The staff went out of their way to make my birthday a special occasion- they went above and beyond—- I will always be so appreciative and thankful for that!Our small group loved everything they drank and every dish they ordered. The candle lit tables and minimalist colonial vibes, and being able to sit and watch their beautiful open kitchen is an experience in its own. And also must add- most of their dishes are cooked over wood fires?! Highly recommend.Parking: Parking lot is behind the restaurant.”

“Went in on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant wasn't too busy. The food was excellent and at a decent price! I got the Birria tacos, they were some of the best tacos I've had. The service was good also. No complaints from my party and we will be certainly going back.”

“I absolutely love Fudgy's Ice Cream! I am a huge fan of their milkshakes, and although I've only been there a couple of times, I've really enjoyed their milkshakes. I got to try four of their flavors and tried some of my mom's chocolate dip shell. I really love the ice cream flavors, swirls, and milkshake options. There are so many things that I wish I could try there, although I'm almost never in the area. I will definitely be here again if I'm nearby or driving through.”

“My partner and I recently took a trip up from the city to visit Serevan, an absolutely exquisite restaurant in the Hudson River Valley. I had dined there many times before and to visit the owner and head chef, Serge Madikians. Each and every time, I was treated like family by the entire staff. As a vegan, Serge made sure to accommodate me with wonderful plant-based dishes; the kitchen is always ready to provide a vegan friendly meal and will accommodate all dietary requirements. Dishes are inventive and exotic, along with being plated like artwork. As for the ambiance, Serevan is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. Both my partner and I are in the art field, painter and art historian respectively, and we appreciate the high aesthetics that are found in both Serevan's decor and dishes. We cannot say enough great things about this gem, tucked away in the Hudson River Valley. A must go-to destination!”

“Our first visit to the Taconic Wayside Inn, An absolute pleasure! Our appetizers were amazing! Mozzarella sticks and Garlic Parmesan wings were absolutely cooked perfectly!We also had the Chicken Parmigiana and the Scallop Nantucket… both also prepared with love and perfection.Our waitress was attentive and extremely friendly. “My partner and I love this store for all it's local products, clean layout, and the staff are very friendly. You'll find a simple coffee and tea station, local groceries, ready to go sandwiches and deli eats. And we love the assortment of unconventional cooking condiments, spices, etc. from the Asian continent because we often cook with those. It's great having a grocer who carries those harder finds. This store adds an element of 'cool' to Copake that quite literally adds diverse flavors to our community. Definitely stop in and see the owner, Seung--she's great!”

“Their sandwiches are fantastic, they use real hard rolls with the poppyseeds that most places have moved away from. It's small and not a sit-down place really, they have 2 or 3 small tables. However it's a deli so wouldn't expect them to have a sit-down. Great place to pickup breakfast sandwiches or lunch sandwiches. Best deli in the Dover/Amenia area”

Been awhile since we've had a really good chicken sandwich that wasn't greasy or oversized to the point that it overtakes the other toppings on the sandwich. If this place wasn't so far from Hartford I'd be going here more often.”
