“I love North Star! The service is amazing and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It can be noisy depending on the patrons (!) but I look forward to going there every time.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly- menu options are sure fire and well received.”
“Loved their Gluten free Swiss mushroom burger with sweet potato fries ? ? Definitely a gluten free burger worth going back for.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns & gluten free wraps availableKid-friendliness: Yup.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, they have a ramp”
“My partner and I love this store for all it's local products, clean layout, and the staff are very friendly. You'll find a simple coffee and tea station, local groceries, ready to go sandwiches and deli eats. And we love the assortment of unconventional cooking condiments, spices, etc. from the Asian continent because we often cook with those. It's great having a grocer who carries those harder finds. This store adds an element of 'cool' to Copake that quite literally adds diverse flavors to our community. Definitely stop in and see the owner, Seung--she's great!”
“Nice atmosphere ? coffe, soup, sandwiches, books to read. Beautiful view. Outside seating peaceful ✌️. Will be stopping by again. Life is short experience it every moment you can.”
“Really nice atmosphere when you walk in, the waitress was very attentive and kind. The food was the best part, me and my gf ordered the chicken sandwich and it was great. Been awhile since we've had a really good chicken sandwich that wasn't greasy or oversized to the point that it overtakes the other toppings on the sandwich. If this place wasn't so far from Hartford I'd be going here more often.”
“One of my favorite places to visit when I'm visiting my in laws. I highly recommend swinging through for breakfast AND lunch. The staff are friendly, the food is great, and you're supporting a local business. 10/10”
“Dudes a legend who runs this place. Seriously this pizza is the best in Upstate NY period. It's got an amazing mix of the sheet style meets CT style pizza. I'm a huge fan and wish nothing but the best of success.”
“Great venue for live music. Good, reasonably priced food. Great atmosphere. Be sure to arrive early for best seats, or any seats at all if it is a popular artist (a ticket did not guarantee a seat!)”
“Among the finest restaurants in the northern - if not the country. Super-fresh ingredients transformed into mouthwatering delights. A warm welcome is always guaranteed, too! It’s not cheap but by the standards of today’s 5-star spots, highly reasonable. A must to visit if you’re in the Berkshires.Vegetarian options: They always have o e or two exquisite vegetarian options.Parking: Parking is right next to the restaurant. Being able to use the spaces in the lot owned by the bank next door means there is ample parking.”
“The fricken best. Hands down. Owners an OG from the Gambino neighborhood. Marinara sauce takes 10 hrs to make and uses organic san marzanos. These guys know what's up. I come out here once a year for a race at limerock and Deanos is always a stop on the way out. Gentleman this is the guy from Rochester who asked for whatever marinara sauce you could part with and told you he didn't care what it cost.So we always order calzones and guys......I gotta say......this fricken meat baby you put together for me was next level alright? From the quality of the rocioitta to the beautiful mozz that was stuffed inside this perfect dough baby. Look a chicken pepp and spinach calzone is not supposed to taste this good. Especially for $12 come on..and the homemade sauce on top of that? I'm talking we got tomato seeds, fresh basil (which is sweet as all hell, just beautiful basil) onions that you know have been sweating for a minute. Next time im down that way I'm gonna have to call in a gallon order of that sauce.Long story short. Good people. Good pies. Good calzones. Damn good ingredients and it shows. You guys get it. God bless and keep doing you guys.”
“Started off with the calamari, which was heavily battered but the calamari was tender and they had a lemony tarter sauce to dip it in. I had an everything burger which was charred grilled and delicious with sweet potato fries, and my wife had the quiche with a garden salad that she enjoyed immensely.”
“Such a happy little accidental find on our exploration of New England. The people are friendly, the scenery is beautiful, and the hot apple cider pairs perfectly with an apple cider donut (go figure). If you’re in the area, it’s worth the stop!”
“I love coming here. It’s a great place to get a quick sandwich and the milkshakes are amazing. I come here with my friends for lunch almost every day during the summer”
“Really European-esque beer garden with bbq food. Great after a long day of hiking. Several local beers on tap with a variety of food options. Live music on the weekends at night if you catch it.”
“Our first visit to the Taconic Wayside Inn, An absolute pleasure! Our appetizers were amazing! Mozzarella sticks and Garlic Parmesan wings were absolutely cooked perfectly! We also had the Chicken Parmigiana and the Scallop Nantucket… both also prepared with love and perfection. Our waitress was attentive and extremely friendly. It was wonderful that her daughter worked alongside her as well. All the staff whom we spoke to was extremely friendly and appreciated our feedback.A Definitely Must Try Place To Go!!!We’ll be back!”
“Could not have asked for a better local spot to find for our New Years Vacation. Bert and her regulars were warm, inviting, and hilarious, and treated us Boston tourists like family. The drinks were cheap and plentiful, the games super fun, and I even thrifted a lovely sweater and some old fashioned glasses. Would love to visit again!”
“The CUTEST humble local diner vibes. The food was simple and delicious for brunch. They were so accommodating to provide a Patty Melt even though it wasn't explicitly on the menu. Definitely family owned. Expect regular basic coffee here - no lattes”
“Absolutely hands down one of our favorite places now! We were just passing through and the restaurant caught our eye so we decided to stop on our way home. So glad we did.The woman who took our order was lovely. I believe she was the owner as we chatted about how long they've been there. Their food is unique and has fun names!I got the Mexican burger with bacon, waffle fries, and a drink. Hubs got the Cowboy burger with sweet potato fries, and a drink. The flavor is out of this world. The atmosphere is so fun -- a juke box, retro decor, a more private area good for families with kids games. Great ambiance. We were both happy with our choices and will definitely be back with the kids!!”
“This micro-brewery is tucked away in a very unappealing strip mall but it's worth visiting. Ambiance: rather rustic lodge look somewhat lacking in composition Beer: Fantastic beer! The Longbeard Imperial Stout (8.1%) was a fantastic imperial stout. This beer is superb! The Barnwood Brown Ale was excellent too. Service: Very good service. Eric, the brewmaster and proprietor, is very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall cleanliness: above averageBathroom cleanliness: average”
“This place was awesome to begin with -- delighting locals and weekend people alike. Now can't wait to see what fresh wonders the new Sweet Pea team will bring. Based on our experience so far, it's gonna be LIT!”
“These guys are always great and a positive life-line during Covid. I highly recommend their takeaway dinners-- delicious and good value. Also, the owners and their staff are super nice, so it's a pleasure to go in.”
“We love to stop at the Boathouse for a nice Sunday lunch on the patio. We usually have our little dog, Bo with us, and it's of nice that they allow dogs on the patio for lunch. We stopped there this past Sunday, and the staff was wonderful, and very accommodating to us and Bo! Thank you, we enjoyed our lunch. The food and service is always great.”
“I don’t know where to start but I come here with my grandparents and they for sure love the food, serving size and price and I couldn’t agree more with them :)”
“While in the area visiting family, we decided to check this place out. I'm very glad we did. The beers were very good, and the food was great. Great staff! Great atmosphere! Can't wait to revisit when we come back in the summer.”
“Two hungry hikers shared 6 boneless wings, a bbq burger, and a buffalo chicken pizza. We only make it halfway through the pizza. Everything was very good, but the burger was especially delicious. Great service & very reasonable prices.Parking: Parking for a dozen + cars.”
“My first experience with Stissing House was for my birthday dinner with friends and it did not disappoint- we had a mixed group of people who drink and people who don’t and there was a great selection for both- I had a salted lime mock-tail -I believe — and it was perfect. I also had their chips, pickled vegetables as sides, coal roasted scallops in green butter sauce our meal came with perfectly dressed watercress - it was all quite tasty- sadly I was not able to eat any of the desserts due to dietary restrictions I wish I didn’t have to follow- but the group said they were delicious! The staff went out of their way to make my birthday a special occasion- they went above and beyond—- I will always be so appreciative and thankful for that! Our small group loved everything they drank and every dish they ordered. The candle lit tables and minimalist colonial vibes, and being able to sit and watch their beautiful open kitchen is an experience in its own. And also must add- most of their dishes are cooked over wood fires?! Highly recommend.Parking: Parking lot is behind the restaurant.”
“Excellent all around. We started off with local beer on tap and a plate of aranci. Chicken trombette and steak neo with afresh greens and balsam side salad were perfect. Finished with an espresso and ordered a hot cheese pie to go. Cozy, clean environment. Staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Quality of food and quantity of food was very reasonable. Full belly, Happy heart.”
“Sweet William's offers the best lattes in the area, and some really remarkable baked goods--I don't think I've had anything that has been less than stellar, from their cinnamon rolls (which are deliciously sort of like a biscuit dough in cinnamon roll form?), to their cookies (the molasses ginger cookie is a particular winner), to their cakes (the orange olive oil cake was a revelation!), to their pies (the strawberry rhubarb crisp was phenomenal). It's expensive, even by the standards of the area (a 16 oz. latte costs more than 24 oz ones at a lot of places) but the quality is worth it. Tiny, but with a lovely little outdoor space as well as some seating in the back. Highly recommend it!”
“Stumbled across this place on accident while on a trip up from long Island. So glad we chose here . Real cozy friendly atmosphere ! Great food and would recommend to anyone who visits the area ...”
“Came here with my family tonight for dinner & we all agreed that this place is a hidden gem. The servings were huge & we all enjoyed the food. Also price wise was very affordable. We will definitely be back many times!”
