After capturing a number of events at Stissing House, experiencing their staff and food, I cannot say enough great things about them! The location and atmosphere is stunning, the food is remarkable and the staff is endlessly helpful. If you are looking for a Hudson Valley wedding location, this is a wonderful one!
The chicken and coconut cake are the only things worthwhile really. Be aware that their house made sweet vermouth is extremely bitter, almost like an amaro.
I get that people want a “unique upstate dining experience” but this definitely seems like it is rooted in the city more than it is upstate. Stissing house is magical. Every time I go it’s better than the last. I don’t know how they do it but they treat you like a VIP. All the food and drinks are spectacular and their coconut cake is heavenly. Thank you to Aaron & the wonderful staff!
