As I often do when visiting an area, I checked with some locals about good place to eat, and the common answer was the Basin Pub. What can I say other than friendly people, fun pub atmosphere, and delicious food. In addition to the very good food my wife and I had, they have a menu with alot of variety to choose from. Go there if you are in the area for sure.
Great food. I had a grilled cheese with brisket, and enjoyed every bite.The waitress was exceptionally kind when one of our party had trouble with the noise of a large party and construction work outside. She moved us and looked after my friend (who has Alzheimer's). I will definitely be back with more friends.Thank you!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible. Booths are raised up, but plenty of tables to sit at.

It was mid-afternoon on a weekday. The bar had a few people around it and only 4 of the tables were occupied. Service was instant and fun. Draft beer selection was adequate. The Ruben and Mac salad delicious. Burger and fries very good. Have never had a different experience in 5 or 6 visits. Usually stop there when we cruise down the Erie Canal in the summer.
