I really Wish I didn't have to write this review. Bugs were in my food. I was disgusted. I will not return. I wanted to go back and show the staff but I dropped in for lunch and I don't live in this area. Be mindful eating here.

Hands down my favorite sushi restaurant in Long Island! Kinben always has the freshest sushi/sashimi and the omakase is on point (as pictured). The staff at Kinben are extremely friendly and welcoming and the prices are comparable for the Plainview area.
I’ve been going to Kinben for date night for the past two years. With all of the quality sushi Kinben offers, I wouldn’t choose any other sushi restaurant over this one. I am looking fwd to many omakase nights for years to come ?.

Food is not bad, i would come back. Wish their sashimi slices were a little thicker for the price they are charging on their sushi and sashimi for two.

Hidden treasure! High end sushi, flown in from Japan, affordable and delicious. I mean what else do you want. I’m surprised this place isn’t flooded with customers!

If you are looking for a quick simple place for sushi when in Plainview, Kinben Sushi is a perfect choice. The food and the service is extremely good. The Miso soup is delicious.

Best sushi I have ever had. And I’ve had a lot. And the service was excellent
Fresh and delicious sushi but not a good value. The $33 chirashi had a very atypical presentation and looked like sashimi bento with over-vinegared rice. The sashimi smelled and tasted fresh. However, I wish the portion can be bigger.

This place has great sushi. Not necessarily expected from the decor/location. But don’t be fooled. This is excellent. Go for the omakase.
There are 3 Sushi restaurants in Plainview including this one. This is the newest one. Now I know 1% of you are sushi freaks and KNOW the real deal. The fish here is very fresh and the staff are beyond nice!!!I ate hamachi kama, fish eggs in every color & Australian Oysters which were delicious but pricey @ $8 each.ENJOY!
