Don't let the images of the ambience fool you. The food is much better than the restaurant's decor (and their poorly taken menu photos). The fish is fresh. The cocktails are boozy. The only note I'd give is that the chef does not need to try to be inventive (because it doesn't work and just makes dishes that would be an A a B). No need for dyed orchids. And maybe keep the strawberries away from the shrimp. The shrimp is amazing without the strange flavor pairing. More does not always mean better.

Great lobster roll sandwich, apple slaw and crispy fries. We also had a wonderful scallop appetizer that was wrapped in prosciutto and lightly fried on a bed of endive, arugula with a balsamic drizzle. My husband loved his seafood chowder. Service was attentive. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Great job!

So glad we found this place in the Westchester desert! The ambience is cozy and low-key, with that classic early 20th century railroad layout, pressed tin ceilings and all. We started with cosmos which are so underrated as a winter drink, but when freshly prepared and pale crystal pink they are wonderful. Ours were! We had a smooth creamy crab chowder with a clean sweet taste of crab coming through. It's very hard to make chowder well; it tends to get gluey. This was rich, but the texture was light. Lobster rolls were stuffed with thick chunks of meat and the lightest touch of a binder. I've never had apple slaw - wow, now I will! I would actually order this! Finally, the cornbread is made from real cornmeal. It was terrific. I had forgotten what real cornbread tastes like. this is a restaurant for people who really like food.

New England clam chowder was the best ever! The soft shell crabs were delicious with my salad. My sister-in-law had a lobster appetizer with avocado and a lobster roll. She said the lobster was very fresh and she loved both. Lava molten cake was the best way to end our meal!!!

The atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant (easy to talk) and the service friendly. The wine pour was generous. However, the menu was more promising than the delivery. The octopus appetizer was delicious and the ingredients in our dinner were all fresh and to order-but my lobster salad was not as described in the menu. Rather than the French style salad with orange slices, avocado, blue cheese and lemon vinaigrette spelled out on the menu--out came an unappetiziing pile of mostly wet iceberg lettuce with corn kernels, slices of strawberry, tomatoes, and sliced radishes (a base for taco salad?). Instead of the blue cheese it had goat cheese coated in blueberry jam. It was almost comically wrong and hopeless to expect anything better if sent back. We won't be going back. Expensive mistake.

Food was excellent and prices extremely reasonable. Was a Monday night so not crowded. Parking in back a big plus. Highly recommend it.

This is the best restaurant in Pleasantville. Excellent food (the scallops and trout are amazing) prepared with a French flare. Great selection of dishes and wonderfully prepared. The service is also outstanding! We come here over and over again when we visit Pleasantville!

The food is excellent with an extensive menu. The service is a little spotty. The wait staff is pleasant and well intentioned but the service could be improved. For our party of six, they “forgot” one appetizer and then later one main dish when serving the rest of the table. Overall a very pleasant experience. We will,be back.

The ownership did a good job of making the outdoor dining experience good. Outdoor furniture is never really comfortable but it the weather was too beautiful to eat indoors, Food was very good as usual is one of our go to place near home.

Nice to find a restaurant with well prepared and generous entrees for under $40 - Owner is very accommodating and had a very nice meal, will be back.

Paella was delicious with much seafood in it. My brother was also happy with the crab cakes and lobster roll (which the server changed for him to a butter sauce.) Deserts were also excellent; flourless chocolate cake and creme brûlée. We ate in attractive intimate room; the first room has the bar and some seating. Pleasantly quiet on an early Weds. evening. For a seafood restaurant, I think the prices were reasonable. I would go back and I live an hour away.
