Excellent food with wonderful service. Cozy atmosphere. Extensive menu allows for more authentic Mexican food, on the Tex-Mex side (burritos, quesadillas etc) and even has a kids menu. Margaritas are great!!

This review started out as a 4.5 stars from walking through the door then as we left went to a 3.4 star rating. For Cinco de Mayo holiday afternoon, seemed at a normal capacity because there was no wait time to be seated which was a total plus for us to get a drink and snacks.The food was fresh, packed with flavor and a solid portion. We ordered the ceviche and chicken nachos as appetizers, they were a way bit overpriced (I understand it’s NY prices but damn for apps). We also got a margarita and couple of beers but the sad thing is there was supposed to be a second margarita that we never got. It took quite a while to get our servers attention and we understand it’s a holiday with the possibility of shorthanded servers. We had two servers in the back dining area and about 4 runners that could’ve gotten our items while she was busy. That was the main reason for the decrease in rating, LOUD music where I had to scream to talk and charging us for the missing marg.Overall, we will come back because the food was fantastic and in hopes the service will be better.

Really good authentic food. Portions and prices are very fair. The tequila bar has high quality brands and the bartender knows his tequila. It is also a clean place with nice Mexican aesthetics.

I really liked this place, I read the comments a few years ago and although it doesn't have good comments regarding the food or the service, my opinion is totally different.The food was very good. I highly recommend the corn with cheese and mayonnaise, the shrimp ceviche, and guacamole, which I love that they prepare it there while you can see it, the sauces are delicious.We tried different appetizers, no main course but absolutely everything was very good.As for drinks, I highly recommend the excellent michelada!!!The service was very good, the staff was very attentive to what we needed and everyone was very friendly, I was very satisfied with the service.

This place really dropped the bar with service. Was seated, took entirely too long before taking our drink order that we placed full order (drinks, app., and main) together. Waitress did not write anything down. App. came to us before drinks. Surprise surprise, our app was wrong and one of the dinners was wrong. I’m giving this place 2 stars as the food that was delivered as ordered was very tasty however going to be taking a break from Don Juan’s. Staff seemed to be taking better care of a larger party that seemed to coincidentally be related to our server. Was a little disappointed the manager only offered his apologies through staff and never came over to address our problems/concerns.
Always come to Don Juan's stunning view of the outside just as inside decorations are captivating. The service is excellent constantly checking on their customers. The Food is delicious. I recommend the Guacamole en un Molcajete I love the presentation The texture is just right. I had a huaraches dish it was delicious I highly recommend it.
