My experience has always been great. Best Italian deli around. I have been going there for 15 years and they are always great. Always pleasant and always good food.

To all those reviewers especially the woman who used stereotypical racist tropes when referring to tbe two short Latin men one with beady eyes and the even shorter Italian man with beady eyes you owe them an apology. For your information the man you referred two as the short Italian he has a name Robert and he unexpectedly passed away a few months ago. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
These men are hard working small business owners who put up with rude people like you every day and are always pleasant. It’s an Italian deli you expect to wait especially in a good one you all need to stop sounding so privileged and give them your respect.

There are other delis that you can go to no one has put a gun to your head to go there. People like you really need to lighten up and stop thinking everybody owes you something..

One of the best Italian delis I've ever been to. So many delicious sandwiches. Been there many times. Homemade marinara sauce is amazing, as is the imported ravioli. Beef brisket on a hero is my favorite. Eggplant is one of my go-tos. I went there today. Robert will be missed.

Let me start off by saying the food is great. The staff however, needs to do some training on etiquette. This is the second time I get into an altercation with this one particular beady eyed, 5'6 short light skinned Latino man (I believe he frequently takes phone orders). Upon arrival, I let them know I was picking up food that we placed over the phone for our office. I let them know what items I needed to be rung up because we were paying separately. Cue the beady eyed man popping out from behind the bread display yelling that they DON'T do that and that is not how the order was placed over the phone. I began to explain that if you ring up the order on the register, what is the difference? Can you please ring them up separately? "It's just not the way we do things. You should've told over the phone that you wanted them separate." This is the second time I have an argument with beady eyed man as well as an even shorter man who apparently is the owner. (Italian short older man with glasses). There was however, one tall blond white man with a dark blue deli crewneck today that tried to deescalate the situation and suggest that they just separate the order anyway but the beady eyed man simply said, no. While the food is great, like others have previously stated, it is not worth dealing with unprofessional, rude attitudes that certain workers have in this establishment. What a shame.

Rude. After standing for over 5 minutes and being ignored gentleman with glasses behind counter snapped at me. Nope. Walked right out. WAY too many places with amazing food and service on Wheeler for this guy to act like a j**** Other employees seemed quite pleasant, but this one bad apple did it for me ?

I ordered on grubhub for the 1st time. The order was never delivered to the.l correct apartment and the guy had the nerve to say oh well when I called $40 for a wrap and a salad I never received. Do not give them your business they have zero customer service experience or hospitality experience. I am 19 years nyc hospitality experience and have never ever dealt w more disgusting people. Not to mention the order was 45 mins late. I’m so appalled at how I was treated.

I work in pleasantville and have been a consistent customer of frank and joes for the last ten months. Never once had a problem with any of the staff or their food. The food is great, however the owner has horrible character. He works the morning shift and i start work early at 7. I’ve consistently ordered the same order around 6:30 in hopes to have it ready to eat, as i commute from White Plains. For the first time he had underperformed and didn’t even make the order when i arrived this past monday. Being that i had been a loyal customer, i had returned at lunch asking for a discount since i wasn’t able to eat all morning as a result. The staff kindly obliged no issues. However, today i called back to complete the same order and he rudely attacked me, claiming i was asking for “handouts” and “gimmicks”. i got a $5 discount…. which to be honest, i would have taken anything. yet he had the audacity to berate me over it when it was his fault to begin with. Claiming i was punishing him when it should be a courtesy to right your wrong. His attitude is awful and i’ve seen him berate his own employees before too.

Look at the food is good. The service is absolutely terrible though. For a while I was going there to get my lunch, because they do have really good food and good prices but the owner is just a really rude person and there’s better options literally across the street.
