Great food. Nice ambiance. Treated very well and the prices are good
The food and service at Gyro World is always excellent! So much so we chose to remain in the restaurant last night even when we were told, before being seated, that the A/C was not working.
First timer and definitely coming back! I normally don't get cravings for Greek food because I find it too salty for my taste however, I have to say that I'm incredibly satisfied. We ordered two tasty beef and lamb gyros, spanakapira appetizer and it only costed us $26. The French fries was mistakenly brought to us which were on the house (thanks again) but I urge you to order because they were that delicious! It was meant to beðŸ˜
Never judge a book by it's cover. Gyro world sounds like yet another Greek "fast food" restaurant. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are the real deal, and I say that having eaten at almost every Greek reastuarant in Astoria. If you are looking for an authentic Greek retuarant... You've found it here. The other one in Pleasantville doesn't even come close, and they aren't even bad. Any bad reviews you read are probably written by their competition. Me and my wife give 2 thumbs up.
I'm from Chicago where Gyros is king. Gyros World has the best gyros that I've tasted in the area. Ample portions, very juicy, very tastey. I travel from Stamford to Gyros World because there is nothing as good anywhere in the vicinity. You won't be disappointed.

Food was ok. Nothing great it was just okay. I feel it was a little pricey for what we ordered. I had a chicken soulvlaki platter and the chicken was very small and not worth $16. We also ordered a beeftiki platter. The meat was very dry and over seasoned. The hummus was actually pretty good. I think this is going to be a one and done for us.
Always enjoy going to Gyro World Greek Restaurant. It is a great restaurant to have a family meal with variety of drinks and fresh food. The staff here are helpful and friendly
this is 1 of the worst places i've ever been in a in a long time , the waitress doesn't know shes doing she bring out food following by main course not even a minute after ,, the dressing for salads are made with sugar i can taste thats the reason is so adicted , i spand my entire meal watching 2 ladies smoking outside this is not the environment i want to exposed my kids to ,, unfortunately i wont be coming back to this place and i don't recomende this place to anyone
I love this spot. I work close by and it's one of the few places I love to eat from. Very nice people and the service is very good .

Food is very good! I work in town and everyone at work orders lunch from Gyro World! My favorite is Mesogaki salad with grilled chicken!
