El Callejon is a restaurant in Port Chester. It is a tiny restaurant in a tiny shopping strip. The grilled calamari and lemon sole are loved. The maracuya juice has a refreshing tropical flavor. The Prix fixe menu has a variety of options and is a good deal. It is a top quality meal at a decent price. The food portions are plentiful but taste is a hit and miss situation. The Ceviche mixto is too big so taste good at the beginning but no longer desirable midway. The Fried calamari had small calamari and too much batter. The Fried Yuca was great, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The Mushroom ravioli would have been better without the parmezan cheese on top. The Churrasquito was wonderful, very tender and tasty steak, goes well with the rice and beans. The steak Quesadilla was just ok. The Seafood linguini and Seafood Paella are both good with huge shrimp and decent half size losber. The Branzino was very decent. The Carne azada taste caught one by surprise. The food was amazing and plentiful. The Churasquito and the Salmon were perfect. The food is consistently outstanding, full of flavor, and always prepared with care. The hospitality is incredible. The owner is kind and attentive. They are accommodating and prepare dishes that aren’t even on the menu. The service is good. It is one of the best restaurants in Port Chester.
