Hadn't eaten here in a long time. The food is always so good. Love the miso soup and their sesame dressing on the salad and usually have the negamaki. So tasty!

I've been coming here for many, many years. Even after changing ownership, the charm of this restaurant remains the same and the food and service is still wonderful.

First time here. The waiter suggested an alternative meal and then made a substitution for my Bento Box. For its size, there is pleanty of seating including stools at the sushi bar. There is parking next door where they share space with a small mall.

I came with one mission: to have a childhood sushi I haven't had in years: masago and quail egg. Many sushi places can't serve it because they don't keep quail egg in stock.
I sat alone at the bar, which was very quiet, but had a great atmosphere. The sushi chef in front of me watched over the staff like a hawk to make sure when I needed something that I was taken care of ASAP (I assume a perk of the bar) .
I started with a Sapporo beer with the sushi I came for and the chef made it perfectly. It's a strange combination to many, but to me it reminds me of home. I'm giving 5 stars because of the care this chef put into my sushi. I would recommend solely on his experience.
I ordered the sashimi deluxe which I originally thought 24 pieces for 30$ might feel like a ripoff, but was pleasantly surprised with how full I felt at the end.
For dessert, I ordered both the Yokan (jelly) and the fried green ice cream specifically for this review since I didn't see any pictures of them. The jelly was definitely interesting and unlike anything I've ordered before. The green tea ice cream was just as expected.
I would recommend coming alone or with one other person, but I noticed that groups of four have a great time ordering sushi boats for a decent price between 70-100$ which is pretty good for long island at this time.
Definitely coming again!
Edit: Came again and ordered much more this time, added pictures! It was even better the second time.

I treated myself to lunch after my husband's surgery was over, and he was in recovery.
First thing I ordered was a glass of plum wine. Never got it. I eat sushi often, everyplace I have been to serves a salad, and miso soup with their lunch specials. Apparently Hana doesn't. The waitress brought me a less than satisfactory salad. I asked about the soup, and she said you get one or the other. She never asked me which I wanted, and just brought me the lackluster salad. Wisely she brought me a bowl of the soup. Then came the 3 handrolls I ordered. I started with the salmon avocado one. The skin tasted off somehow. Couldn't eat it. Unrolled the skin, ate the salmon, and the avocado. Asked for a box for the other 2 rolls.
I refrigerated them when I got home, tried the salmon with cucumber, skin still off...flushed the remaining rolls down the toilet.
Dined there in the mid 80, and it was wonderful! Wanted to go there again. Friday, 6/21, I did. Sorry I did. Will never go there again.
Wish I could share the pictures I took...

This is a great place for everything but sushi, it has a great staff and nice ambiance. But I grew up on the shore eating sushi all the time and this was some of the most bland and tasteless sushi I've ever had. I got the spicy combo so it came with 3 different spicy rolls and I honestly could not tell which roll was which. They all tasted the same, which was warm, soft, and tasteless and every piece has a different point of ingredients, some literally only had rice and cucumber, no fish. But maybe that's what sushi is like on Long Island because this place is rated so highly when it's mediocre at best with it's sushi.
