I’ve been to Old Fields dozens of times, everytime it’s great. The bartender Nick always makes the drinks quickly and exactly how I like them. Have a gluten allergy and they always accommodate it seamlessly. One of my favorite restaurants and always good when Nick is working.
Came here on a summer Saturday night for dinner with a party of 4, no reservations, but surprisingly had no issue of getting a table right as we came in. We had a table near the bar and the ambiance is very pretty, but can be a little dark. Noise level was perfect, could easily talk to everyone without feeling like I was hard of hearing. Service was kind and helpful, but it certainly felt slow. I would have ordered more drinks if they just had come around and checked in on us...
Dinner for three. Everyone raved about all dishes from appetizers to desserts and side orders. I advance-ordered a larger cut of rib steak. I was asked how I would like it prepared and it was cooked to perfection. Staff was exceptionally accommodating on the phone and extraordinarily pleasant and attentive throughout the meal. The ambience was also superb. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
