Looking for a light breakfast and I’m gluten free. What a pleasant surprise to find The Secret Garden in PJ
Amazing!!!!
Awesome! We had Katie make us a few trays of finger sandwiches for my daughter’s garden party. It was beautiful aesthetically, tasted incredible and Katie was so easy to work with. We had the prime rib on rosemary bread, turkey wraps which were both very, very tasty and of great quality. The star of the show was the chicken salad on mini croissants! The scones were a big hit, especially amongst the kids. They were gone instantly. Katie, Frank, we can’t thank you enough. Highly recommend!
Spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon at the Secret Garden tea room .. I have been to tea rooms, but nothing can compare to the Secret Garden.
Such a charming atmosphere, hats were provided , I felt as if I was in England .
Having high tea with delicious home-cooked food was delightful, a perfect gift shop filled with beautiful trinkets.
Frank and his staff were wonderful.
Blessings to the secret room.
Cannot wait to return
Great place for ladies lunch or any celebration. The room is beautiful with nice touches, great service with wonderful owners and really delicious food and teas. I look forward to going back again!
Clearly states TIP IS INCLUDED IN BILL and waitressstated to us the same when she took our order. Guess what? It wasn't! And the bill that we received wasn't itemized so we had no clue! We had made a reservation so we received a phone call after we left to come back and leave a tip! Their mistake NOT OURS!.Never again!
This was the best tea room I have ever been too! The staff was so sweet and the attention to detail was amazing. I love that everything is handmade. I will 100% be back! Highly recommend!
This is one of the best tea rooms I have been to! After living in England, it is hard to find a good spot for a full afternoon tea! This place is a labor of love, and everything is made in house. They are vegetarian and gluten free friendly, and their gluten free bread is some of the most delicious and best we have ever tasted! The owner personally makes sure you have a wonderful time, and there are hats available to use for fun pictures! The tea selection is wonderful, and there are some delicious special-tea options that are a divine mixture of popular teas and flavors. We will be back soon for another tea!
The Secret Garden Tearoom in Port Jefferson is an absolute delight! The desserts are heavenly, each one more delicious than the last. Of course, the tea selection is outstanding, offering a wide variety of flavors to suit any palate. The ambiance is charming and cozy, making it a really fun place to relax and enjoy a leisurely afternoon. The staff is warm and welcoming, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to indulge in great tea and desserts in a lovely setting!
My daughter set up a High Tea for my birthday for six of us and it was spectacular! All the food is made on premises and delicious. The place was decorated beautifully. The rainbow cookie tea actually tastes just like the cookie itself! The owner was such a gentleman! We will certainly be back!!
Beautiful and peaceful place with uplifting scripture verses sprinkled throughout. It was a joy to be there and they offer hats to wear while you eat. Everyone was pleasant there and accommodating. Menu was explained well for newcomers like us. Clean and nicely done. The food was delicious. Great experience.

Took Mom and my sister for mother's Day. Great food and excellent service. Very nice presentation as well.
We had a wonderful lunch for my mom’s birthday! Frank was very nice on the phone to make reservations. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The place is super cute! They even made a little adorable cake for mom’s bday.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly owners and delicious food.
Always a delight
Sunday was our first time here! What a beautiful experience!! It’s like walking into an enchanted garden. The front of the store is set up like a gift shop with beautiful, meticulously created displays of tea pots and tea cups and so much more! The owner was exceptionally friendly and hospitable. We entered the tea room and sat in the center at a table for two. Beautiful decor and tables are all set up with different tea cups. There is a back room where you can try on a variety of hats and wear them during your tea time. Highly recommend doing the High Tea tower. You get to start with amazing scones and work through delicious little sandwiches and puffs with different fillings. Work your way down to 3 dessert bites to choose from. ( The carrot cake was my favorite). I asked for a treat for a birthday and they came out with the absolute cutest little cake with a tiny happy birthday written on the top and it was absolutely delicious (kudos to the owner that writes those tiny little letters). Our whole experience was topped with excellent service by the most adorable, friendly and efficient server, Scarlett ( and her helper). Call and make a reservation! Especially if you have a little girl, a great experience!
