This is probably my favourite place to eat. The food is really good and they are super accommodating to allergies.

Bruschetta toastie was great my only complaint is that it could’ve been hotter but I will still definitely be back

I want to love this place, I really do. The menu always seems so well thought out and the ingredients are very fresh. There's just always something that's not quite right. Whether it's a little extra heat, acid, or spice, I find that that extra piece to complete the puzzle is missing.

We were there for the last night of the October menu. What a delightful meal! The flavors Jon has produced are absolutely incredible! We were able to order a number of the dishes and they all were delicious! I highly recommend going to Hoof and Horn. You will not be disappointed!

My family visited twice during college move-in and move-out days, and each time the experience was exceptional. The food is beautifully prepared, featuring fresh, local ingredients—even the potatoes were outstanding! Every detail is carefully considered to ensure an extraordinary dining experience. When we attempted to leave a tip, we were informed that it was already included in the price—another thoughtful touch that allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our meal. If I could give 50 stars, I would. The food is truly Michelin-quality!

Possibly the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant came from this hidden gem. Potsdam, New York is a small college in upstate rural New York close to the Canadian border. There are a few restaurants there, some chains and some local places most passable. Hoof and Horn is in a different class. Were this place in NYC, you'd not be able to get a table because the food is that good. Everything is fresh and the majority local sourced. All of the ingredients are off the highest quality and prepared by a chef who clearly is passionate about their work. Small, simple atmosphere hides the beauty that is this food. Menu is essentially tapas (small plates) and varies monthly. Yesterday I went with my family. A steak dish with flavor and tenderness rivaling the best steakhouses. A crab cake with remoulade that exploded with flavor. Cucumber salad that somehow tasted amazing while cleansing the palate. A bruschetta burger that was cooked to perfection dripping in its own juices and garnished with fresh made bruschetta. Buffalo meatballs with a crema to die for. And the best...a tostada with fresh greens and farmers cheese that melted in your mouth. If the other dishes exploded with flavor this was an atomic bomb of flavors. Not in the hot spicy sense, but an amazing flavor journey start to finish. Topped off with fresh desserts and seasonal cocktails. And all in a small intimate not rushed atmosphere. And very reasonably priced. Worth the trip... Which for me is 8 hours... My kid goes to school up there. Though all meals thereafter on the trip didn't come close. BRAVO

They are always so friendly and the atmosphere is so laid back. I've been there for lunch several times, visited with a friend for tapas and have purchased their sausages to cook at home. Great value for your money with fresh ingredients and perfect portions. We have never been disappointed!

Wow!! We got the chicken salad sando and the bbq banh mi as takeout and both were excellent. The bbq banh mi was out of this world! We will be back.

If you're looking for a unique and high-quality dining experience in upstate New York, Hoof and Horn Butcher and Eatery is an absolute must-visit. This gem of a butcher shop not only offers top-notch cuts of meat but also crafts some of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted.

Recently, I had the pleasure of trying their Bulgogi Beefer, which features braised beef, Korean BBQ sauce, toasted sesame seeds, cilantro, kimchi, and Sriracha aioli, all nestled in a toasted ciabatta baguette. As someone who often finds "Korean" flavors outside of big cities to be overly reliant on heavy soy sauce and somewhat unappetizing, I was thrilled to discover that Hoof and Horn knocked it out of the park. The beef was perfectly marinated with Korean-influenced seasonings, and the kimchi was just right. Every bite was a delightful balance of flavors and textures.

While they did forget my kettle chips, it didn't detract from the overall experience because the food was simply that good. The atmosphere at Hoof and Horn is another highlight—it's cute, clean, and inviting. The staff are always friendly.

Hoof and Horn Butchery and Eatery has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Whether you're there to pick up some quality meat or to enjoy a delicious sandwich, you won't be disappointed.

We had an event catered by Hoof and Horn. The whole experience was seamless from the planning of the menu to the dinner itself. And the food was incredible. Becky was easy to work with and quick to respond to questions we had leading up to the event.

We also had lunch at the restaurant a few days prior to the event and that was wonderful too!

I’ve never had anything from here that was less than excellent. Their fresh meats are very good quality, and their lunches are phenomenal.

Best burger I have had in years!! Went for a Mother’s Day lunch 2024. Even our child said it was the best place he has been!! We will be repeat customers!!

Server and food service turn around time were excellent. Menu options were refreshing and delicious. Allergy alternatives were available and prices were reasonable. Will be back next time we're in town
