I just arrived back in the states after traveling for 2 months in Europe. During that time, I stayed at about 14 different 5 star hotels and received the excellent personal service you would expect. This morning I wandered down late in the morning to the Hilton’s 144 restaurant breakfast buffet service and had the pleasure of being taken care of by a wonderful gentleman by the name of Shabeh (I am so sorry if I misspelled his name, I should have written it down!).I can tell you without a doubt or a hint of exaggeration - I received a level of service from this wonderful gentleman beyond anything I saw in any 5 star hotel in Italy, Spain, Portugal, or France during my 2 month trip. I felt like he had invited me into his home as an honored guest. It was just amazing. I love to see someone who strives so hard to be absolutely excellent at what they do. If you are a guest, don’t miss the chance to me this nice man at breakfast. If you are in management at the Hilton, give this man a raise - he is worth his weight in gold. And him train all your staff, and interview any new staff you are considering hiring. If the Hilton could find 1000 more team members like him across the country, it would have a material impact on your key business metrics. I promise you I am not exaggerating. Wow!

So let’s get a really real review. The female host was one of the rudest, most unprofessional and angry ppl I have ever met. (Mgmt. Date check this. She worked tonight and we almost walked straight out, you now know who this is working tonight). I said hello with a smile and asked for a table and she rolled her eyes and said “ok”. She sat us and we all said “thank you so much” with sincerity and genuine kindness, hoping to snap her out of her funk. Nope didn’t work and she was as nasty as she’d been from the moment we walked in. Not sure why anyone would employ such a person in hospitality.Our server was fantastic. The food was super yummy. But that hostess was the most nasty person I have ever come across in food. Five stars if it wasn’t for her. I find it hard to believe Mgmt doesn’t know what a negative and nasty individual they have at the hostess stand. She provides a disservice to every server, chef and bartender in the establishment. And… I would venture to wage that the entire staff knows what woman was working tonight. Sorry guys, you were great but she is the face of your restaurant. Mgmt should take better notice.** and service gets 5 stars bc I feel bad for everyone that this woman set the tone. They were all great, you maam, we’re horrific. (Horrific: Understatement. Even our son was disturbed).

The food was amazing, we stop there on our way from the JFK airport. The pesto pasta is so good and tasty as well as the salmon.

There are not many options to eat at the hotels clustered in this area. This restaurant was the only one within reasonable walking distance. Overall the food was fine, the prices not unreasonable considering, and the waiter was very good. My first impression; however, wasn't very favorable. The hostess was about as unfriendly as can be. Maybe she was having a bad day, otherwise I would suggest they don't have her as the first impression of the restaurant.

Went to eat there at 10pm, they don't close until 11pm, and we were told very rudely that the kitchen was closed. What restaurant closes their kitchen an hour before they close? Pretty stupid....

I stayed at the Hilton and had dinner at 144 Restaurant. The philly cheese steak I had was delicious, and the French fries were extremely fresh. The service was top-notch at the bar, and the bar tenders were very entertaining and fun. It was a great dinner experience

Typical buffet breakfast, lots of warm food but not hot enough. Service was good, pleasant server, but captive custom means they can charge what they want, personally, overpriced.

A'RareAnd Dying Breed

The staff were polite and professional.I had the Asian flavored wings with rice for dinner, pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast (I thought the price for breakfast was a bit much), and the chicken sandwich for lunch. Everything was fantastic ?

At first everything seemed fine and accommodating, once the food arrived, the waiter disappeared like a ghost. when we spotted him, we flagged him down so we can add to our order, this was a whole production. Finally we’re ready for dessert, again it’s time to play where’s Waldo, the host was kind enough to point him out, very helpful (NOT) when he came back to our table he threw the bill down, we did not ask for a bill , we wanted dessert, that he thankfully served us with a side of sarcasm. Our children thoroughly enjoyed this experience as well , they were extremely entertained by the bar tender who shouted out inappropriate language, I highly recommend leaving the hotel to dine. Best experience for people who enjoy sitting for 5 hours at some point we wanted to go into the kitchen and serve ourselves, the food probably would of tasted better . This was a complete disaster.
