I’ve had sushi all over America, and this is a top contender amongst the best I’ve had. The menu is on the simpler side, but don’t let that detract you from the absolute quality they deliver. The sushi rolls are larger than typical and priced very reasonable for what you get. Plus they serve warm sushi rice which not many places outside of Los Angeles do.

Great food and atmosphere. Terrible service. Waitress hostess once again bc I go semi often was rude and rushing us. Left no tip to reflect the sad attitude and lack of common courtesy . Usually I leave a tip anyway but it’s was just like thanks dipper pants. Once again. What a downer waitress hostess. Not nice one bit except at end when expecting tip, otherwise great food.
Cute little place for a quick bite. The food was fresh and the service was good. The location is small, but perfectly comfortable for a weekday meal. The flavors are pretty standard for an American sushi place. The hand roll was served with the seaweed still wrapped and more like a taco than a hand roll, not sure if this is a new fad, but the taste was ok. The decor of the place is cute and welcoming.

Enjoyed the Bento lunch special, tasty food, fast, pleasant service & great value. Lovely restaurant, very clean with great decorations, I play Pokemon Go so enjoyed seeing a couple of Pokemon characters in there.
Very unpleasant experience. Every time I took a bite, a strong bleach smell rushed straight into my nose and completely killed my appetite. The wait was surprisingly long, and when the ramen finally arrived, it was barely warm. The tonkotsu broth tasted like someone bought condensed tonkotsu soup concentrate from the supermarket, added water, gave it a quick stir, and called it a day. As for the dragon roll—this was my first time seeing one without tempura. Apparently the dragon flew away and took the crunch with it.
They offer an unparalleled dining experience. From the moment you arrive, the serene ambiance and genuine warmth set the stage for an authentic culinary journey.
Every dish of vibrant sushi is exquisitely prepared, showcasing exceptional freshness, artistry, and flavor. Coupled with impeccable, attentive service, Mikado truly elevates Japanese dining.
It's a gastronomic adventure I wholeheartedly recommend and eagerly anticipate revisiting.

A great choice of sushi rolls from what I ate here I enjoyed the Makido rolls and it was really superb flavor and excellent fried shrimp. Some issues though was the service for my relatives who had some vegetarian issues and allergic issues. Even letting someone on the table accidently getting an allergy reaction. It was minor though and they rewarded us with a apology and a free on the house two desserts. Overall the food was really really good so if you have no limit on dietery restrictions or allergy to anything. Then I recommend this place.

Great food, amazing decoration, but the service was not great. The waitress looked bothered by our presence and while she was all smiley with other customer, not sure why they gave us attitude.

This spot is a rip off !!! The sushi had more rice than shrimp. They only put 4 rolls when others do 6. What’s worse than overpriced food is when they are cheap with the portion and little meat or seafood inside the orders. We’re basically paying extra for a BOX. Never coming back

I’ve come here many times now since moving to the area from the upper west side a couple months ago. This is probably the best sushi I’ve had.

Mikado is a true gem in the area. Queens overall lacks really great sushi and it feels like Mikado is there to fill that void. The quality, quantity and price can’t be beat. You can taste how they put effort into every piece of sushi. The rolls are chock full of fish and not overly rice filled, everything tastes fresh and made to order. You can see and taste the quality and care that goes into their cuisine. I’m a big fan and have finally found a proper go-to place to get quality sushi when in the area. If craving sushi and are near don’t hesitate to make this your top destination.
