What a lovely place! We just had a birthday celebration there and the staff was so welcoming, accommodating, and entertained us so warmly. Not to mention the food was delicious!!!!

This is a very below average greek and please don’t say Mediterranean eatery. There are so many Mediterranean places around that offer better experience. One positive it is nice and clean inside. Everything is overcooked and underseasoned. Whether its orzo or beef… or fried calamari… or shrimp drawn in sauce… if someone in family can cook doesn’t make them a chef especially in ny … and i am sorry “we dont have desert menu yet” and “we usually offer something for free” but we ran out?? . But here is you bill will 20% tip highlighted as minimum..

What a hidden gem!! The decor, atmosphere, service and the food here is 10/10!! Our server Omo was great. My party decided to get several sides and dishes to share. Every single thing was delicious !!! The enclosed garden area where we sat as stunning as well as the interior space.
I highly recommended the following dishes: Tzatziki and spicy feta dips, Garides Saganaki, Sofrito, Papoutsakia and the Dakos salad

They also have a large dining section in the back that is cute as well with similar vibes! All the food was extremely fresh! Trio dips were so good and the salad was fantastic! This might be my favorite restaurant I've been to this year. My parents and I came here as an early birthday lunch for me, and I know we all like Greek / Mediterranean food, so I knew it would be good - but it honestly blew my expectations completely out of the water.
We made a reservation, which was not necessary in hindsight, for Saturday lunch in the indoor garden. It was super picturesque and a total vibe on this chill fall day. Everything was such a vibe, you can tell they really put a lot of effort into making the space seem as tropical and comfortable as possible.
They came out with free bread and a spicy olive oil, which was unlimited as well. We got the shrimp with feta and tomato sauce as an appetizer and oh my god - I am still thinking about that sauce today. It was addictive, I was literally eating it by itself, it was that good. For our mains, I got the Arni - a braised lamb dish with lemon coated potatoes. The lamb was great, not the best I've ever had but still pretty juicy and flavorful. The potatoes however, those were the star of the show. Super soft and the lemon flavor really stood out to me.
At the end, they gave each of us a complimentary orange dessert, super tart and the vanilla cream on top perfectly complimented the sweet orange flavor of the dessert itself. They do this for every customer as a way of saying thank you. Truly incredible hospitality, this is how you keep customers coming back and becoming a part of the community. A true gem in Astoria, please come check them out if you haven't already.

Not sure why I hadn’t visited this place before, but I’m so glad I finally did last night with two of my friends. We sat at the bar, and although we only ordered appetizers and drinks, I was blown away. This is definitely a spot I can’t wait to return to. In fact, I think it’s going to be my new go-to place to meet up with friends whenever I’m in Astoria.
The staff is warm and welcoming, the food is incredible, and the owner, Nick, is genuinely kind and down to earth.
The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. The moment you step inside, you feel transported to a serene town in Greece, completely removed from the chaos of 23rd Ave. The warm lighting, creamy tones, olive trees, citrus plants, and charming details like small water fountains all come together to create something magical. I haven’t been able to get this place out of my mind since my visit, and I truly can’t wait to go back. Not to mention how much I love that it’s called Ambrosia, such a beautiful name and how it ties into Greek mythology. Bravo! .

Staff kindhearted and accommodating and prompt and professional. Service amazing. Portions huge. One of the best restaurants on Earth. The only thing that was short of perfection were the lemon potatoes, which taste sweet, gummy, and weird. Every other thing on that menu is an 11/10. The cocktail menu was gorgeous and delicious. I’m still dreaming of the sofrito!
