Great fresh bagels (I got the wheat everything) good spreads (I got the raisin walnut), and very friendly young Hispanic staff, they were quick and offered to toast my bagel without me asking. There’s no atmosphere in this place, just like a normal bagel pickup spot, but my biggest issue is the price! $8 for a bagel and cream cheese is just wild to me, especially if I’m not getting an ambiance or sit down experience with it.
Was kinda weary of trying this place given the reviews about the owner, but I went in and she wasn’t there. Instead I was met with what was simply the best Bagel of my life (so good I hate to capitalize Bagel). Tender with a crispy crust, very much life altering. #Cash only, which i respect.
Haven't been here since middle school, and can say that after 8 years Astoria Bagel Shop still holds up. Excellent quality as always, having fresh bagels always ready. Truly a great experience and the people running the shop are a joy to talk to. Even brought a cousin from out of state and she agreed that this is the best bagel shop around. The only thing that has actually changed about this is the price which is understandable in this current economy. Come to Astoria Bagel...
