Nice food shop at JFK, they were open and served hot food as first among other shops. We had a layover in New York, so arrived to check in quite early at 4 am. We were hungry and tired after a sleepless night out in New York, so we desperately needed something hot, not only sandwiches. Latte was lovely, and our daughter liked the mushroom burrito very much. Grabbed a quick sandwich between flights, but the self serve order system couldn't calculate total despite it being already on screen. Went to the back of the line, finally ordered, and moved to a different area of the store to get the sandwich
Flow of the store is very weird, and there's no checking of receipts to verify the sandwich you're getting.
$18 for a pressed turkey melt was airport tax entirely. It at least fit the bill of being tasty...
