Delicious waffles and decent coffee but the staff are clearly very racist and will barely even look you in the eyes or respond to you if you’re not Chinese no matter how friendly you try to be. Pathetic and ugly behavior. Plus the counter and shop are always a mess and unsanitary looking

My friend recommend this place for their HK style drinks and food, so as someone with family from Hong Kong, I was excited! I got an egg waffle with egg custard inside. It got a bit soggy while in transit, so I’d recommend eating it fresh. The egg custard was interesting, but I’m not sure if it was worth it.

Amazing natural flavor

The HK milk tea doesn't (or at least for me didn't) come in a bottle whish was disappointing although the flavor was fairly on point.
Unfortunstely the he bubble waffle (original), was by far the worst I've had.

This is one of the best places around for HK milk tea and egg waffles. It says glass bottle for the tea, but it now comes in a paper cup. I get it with less sugar. The new flavor egg waffles with egg tart filling is so good and moist. They also have a new savory pineapple bun sandwich with an egg and tomato inside. It's pretty tasty, but it's pricey about $9. The regular pineapple bun with a slab of butter inside is already about $6. They are on the expensive side, but at least the foods are satisfyingly delicious. There aren’t many places around in LIC that has this type of food, maybe one other spot. They have some seatings by the window and also a big table outside to enjoy your food, especially on a nice day.

Omg I drove past and had to park on the corner and come inside. The moment I walked in I knew I made the right decision. The smell in this place is delightfully delicious 😋🤤 It Was so good!

The egg tart egg waffle was crispy outside with a soft, creamy center. Milk tea was strong and authentic, lemon tea super refreshing, and the mango coconut drink tasted fresh and not too sweet.

Went in on a Monday around 6pm and ordered a couple of drinks- Cold Caramel Pearl Milk Tea and Coconut Mango. The total came out to almost $18.

The caramel pearl milk tea did not look like the photos advertised on their kiosk. It also did not have any caramel flavor. The drink tasted like it had more milk than anything else. The coconut mango drink was also not what we expected. There was very little mango flavor and had too much coconut-y flavor.

The customer service is non-existent and the staff did not acknowledge or greet customers. Atomosphere was unwelcoming.

Very disappointed with this because we were really in the mood for a nice drink. Would not recommend coming back for a second visit.

I stopped by this afternoon after a Trader Joe’s run. I’ve always seen people going in so I decided to try it. When I arrived, there was a friendly employee and another employee who looked like she couldn’t be bothered to assist with anything. The male employee was assisting another customer, but the female employee barely looked up from her phone to acknowledge that I was standing around and ready for an order to be taken.

The patron ahead of me needed more time, so she allowed me to go first. The male employee was incredibly friendly and took my order right away. The female employee couldn’t be bothered. When the male employee couldn’t find something in the kitchen area for my order, the female employee reluctantly told him that it was “in the back,” and then got up to get the coffee for my order. Then poured it in the glass, set it on the counter (not in front of me, I might add), picked up several labels and walked away. No cap on the bottle and no acknowledgment. She then went into the kitchen area and started writing on labels.

I found that extremely rude. I had to ask the male employee if the female one finished making my drink because she left it without a cap. The male employee - who was politely assisting another customer - took the time to screw the cap on the bottle and he apologized. I had to tell him that it wasn’t his fault that his coworker didn’t want to assist me. I almost asked the male employee to refund my order because of the lack of consideration and acknowledgement his coworker provided.

Long story short? I will never patronize this store again. First time and last time. I was the only other customer, and the female employee was not so polite. I would have rated this a half star, but Google Reviews doesn’t have the option to provide half stars.

Update for the owner:

Thank you for your reply. I believe I went to Cuppa Tea in the late afternoon - around 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm. I appreciate your willingness to assist and help with this matter, but the employee’s behavior was so off-putting that it’s probably best if I do not patronize your business. Again, the male employee was lovely and extremely helpful. It’s unfortunate that the other employee didn’t have a similar disposition as her co-worker.

The milk tea is good as usual. Very authentic HK flavor. My kids love the egg waffle, the original (classical) and the chocolate ones. I also like their pineapple butter bun.

Their milk tea is my favorite—especially the classic silk stocking milk tea. It’s incredibly smooth and delicious whether you get it hot or iced. I also love the yuanyang, a perfect mix of milk tea and coffee that gives you a great afternoon boost.

The pineapple bun with butter is a must-order—crispy on top, soft inside, and the butter makes it extra fragrant. I’m also a big fan of their egg waffles. The original flavor is my go-to, but the salted egg yolk with pork floss one I tried this time was surprisingly tasty too.

A great spot for brunch or afternoon tea. Definitely recommend if you’re craving classic Hong Kong-style snacks and drinks.

Got the HK tea in the glass bottle, an amber pearl milk tea, and an egg tart waffle. Everything was fire, but the dan tat waffle truly slapped 🔥🔥🔥 crispy on the outside, with gooey egg tart on the inside 🤤 and not too sweet!

Feels like I got scammed LOL I paid for the glass bottle with tapioca and they did not give me the glass bottle because the tapioca doesn’t fit inside. I ordered on the kiosk and there wasn’t a disclaimer saying that. If there was I wouldn’t have gotten the tapioca. They could have given me the glass bottle on the side lol. The milk tea was okay though
