It's a kind of interesting experience. Unless you speak Chinese, when you get there, it seems like you're an outsider in an esoteric society. But once you sit down it's all good
We were in hidden ground floor bistro below the second floor buffet, often closed for private parties. Tonight, Labor Day, was packed and quite loud with curtains between large round tables. 3 private rooms. Usually quieter and not as full. Liang Mien Huang tasted weird, like another herbal condiment accidentally added. Usually excellent. Waiters always take awhile to notice you.
East Buffet offers a convenient and varied dim sum experience with fast cart service and spacious surroundings, especially appealing for group dining or casual trips. However, consistency in food quality and customer service varies. If you’re in the mood for quick and no frills dim sum, it can be worth a try but I won’t expect it to be the best dim sum spot in Flushing.
