The taro creme buns are delicious. I came here twice for them while visiting my friend in Elmhurst. Lots of authentic Chinese baked goods to choose from at Fay Da Bakery. You can order tea too. Fair prices, pleasant dining area to sit down and those taro creme buns are amazing. This is a chain bakery, so there's quite a few locations around the city.

I told them that I would be paying in card in advance when I was the next person in line to pay for my food and they screamed at me saying “why didn’t you tell us?” With little to broken English like it’s not my fault you’re blind or too stressed out on other things. Learn how to respect other customers when there showing or trying to let you know how you would be paying the food😐

I ordered a fox cake for my son’s 2nd birthday. The order was made online, and this location was chosen for pick up. The order was ready on time, and the staff showed me what it looked like before i brought it home. It was meticulously made and actually quite delicious. Not overly sweet which is perfect for me. Will 100% look for another reason to order a cute animal cake. Please note, if the animal design has a black color like mine did, it will bleed into the surrounding areas after a day or two. Otherwise perfect.

fay da is an amazing place to grab a quick bite and drink for breakfast and even as a snack. i do not recommend getting the cakes though, as an asian bakery their tastes have significantly catered towards the western audience and in my opinion, all the cakes just taste worse than ever before. other stuff like bread and pastries are still worth it

My sister had been to this place and bought sponge cakes. The service was wonderful, and the food was wonderful. The atmosphere was that there were people eating, drinking, talking, looking at the foods, and many other things.

Was not welcoming!
I really feel bad giving them 1 star but here is why I had to do it. The place looks really nice and they have their yummy buns and rolls along with other items. The staffs are amazingly polite. But what's gross about this place is they allow a homeless person in their shop. He roams around the shop with his bags and stuff. Occasionally tries to speak to customers and annoy them. I even saw him arranging the food on the shelf. It was a gross experience overall
What they sell is very good but the service is terrible if the cashier is not in a good mood she does not want to serve you despite the fact that what you ask for is there in the oven and if you want more than 1 they do not want to sell you. They should change the policies and the service staff is always that same lady who attends and is grumpy and makes the customer feel terrible.
I had a wonderful experience ordering a chestnut cake recently. The women behind the counter were incredibly kind and patient, ensuring they understood the design I wanted (I appreciated that they were willing to accommodate my request for an older design). The cake was perfect – freshly made, beautifully executed, and delicious!

First time having Japanese cheesecake. It was good. I’d describe it as a heavy angel food cake missed with cheesecake.
The cake was delicious and the employees were kind. And they offered to write my childs name on the cake. The store was clean and nice. So overall 5 stars, I would recommend going here.
a very interesting combination of flavors and very tasty. ??

I like this place but the costs are a bit steep. But I will pay whatever price they ask for a sweet treat!
Parking: Take the bus. Q53 stop in front of and opposite store both ways!
