great place to get a jianbing, chinese savory pancake, in the area. my go to is the peking duck jian bing as they get the roast duck right from the corner 28 stand. i honestly don't think the peking duck is WORTH the $5 as it's 5 thinly sliced pieces of duck, but the $6 original will fill you up just fine.
CASH ONLY, but I overheard they take zelle? I may have heard wrong. there's no seating to my knowledge-- there may be a second floor for seating.

Very good and cheap food. My favorite was the John Bing which is this savory crepe thing. I asked if I could meet Mr. Bing himself to thank him but I don't think he was in.

I used to get Jianbing here almost every morning on my way to work when I lived in the area. Really good. I miss it.

Jianbing was so so so good! We just got the top-of-the-menu recommended on, but their options are very diverse and interesting. To-go only, but well wrapped. Some cold noddle options, beef patties. Quite nice and made right in front of you.
Cash only

For $6… this has to be the best deal in a 70km radius. Like seriously. The classic / signature jianbing was delicious!!! Crunchy, slightlyyyy greasy, slightly sweet. Like absolutely elite.
It’s also HUGE.
Takeout only.
It only took ~5 mins to order and get the food. I really just love this place.

Take out a piece of pancake fruit and two boxes of donkey rolling. The donkey rolling is sweet and soft. If the pancake fruit has more sweet sauce, it will be perfect. The store clerk is very friendly, but I don’t know why my donkey rolling is missing a piece😄

I’m just happy to get a jianbing at this point really. Is it the best jianbing I’ve ever eaten? No. But these days my expectation for Chinese food quality / authenticity in NY is quite low. This suffices. It’s ok. Kinda pricey. No seatings (around 8 seatings in 2 tables in the back, firmly occupied for hours by some). Accepts WeChat pay. I like the roasted duck flavor.

The jian bing was disappointing. The crispy noodle was fried in old oil and was super greasy. They were so stingy with the scallions & cilantro that I couldn’t even taste it and I had to go back and ask them to put more in. The sauce was not that spicy or tasty. We also tried the Peking duck stuffed one and there was a decent amount of duck but not sure I would pay the $5 difference next time. They were fast and efficient with the order taking. Take out only with 2 small tables in the back. The other place that is probably better is closed on Sundays. Dec 2024.
Parking: It’s Main Street Flushing. Parking’s gonna be tough unless you are lucky. Free parking 10-15 min away in the residential areas. Meter are not in effect on Sundays.

"I specifically drove out to buy the beef patties I found online, but I was really disappointed. They were dry and lacked any juiciness. However, the donkey rolling dessert was a pleasant surprise; it was very soft and delicate without being overly sweet. Overall, a nice choice!"
