Not worth super expensive price, $6 for 6 fries literally. And they’re rude / smartasses most of the time

Lower the music at your business. Not everyone wants to hear salsa music blasted in their ears every time they walk by your place.

I do not recommend anyone to eat at this place, the service is extremely slow, only two burgers almost took an hour, you can see the bad atmosphere among the employees, they talk badly to each other, there is a lack of hygiene, and food handling; the presentation of the staff is unpleasant, the buns were cold and the burger meat had a very bad taste. Going to this place is a waste of time, money and even health.

Tried this location out for the first time and I will not be going back! The service was terrible, as one person at the counter was rude and when my daughter went back up to order a drink, she was then short-changed by someone else. The food was also mediocre, especially compared to what they charge.

If I could mark 0 for atmosphere I would. The guy that owns the place is an not so great guy. Makes it VERY uncomfortable to be there.

Not to mention the burgers for $10 are technically sliders. Tasted good but still a slider. Come on, let’s be serious; beef up the beef dude. Please. You’re on the midst of going out of business; we know it. Do better. Let me help.

I stumbled upon this place right after getting off the ferry, and it was fantastic. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the views. The burger, fries, and ice cream were all amazing. There's plenty of seating and incredible views, and it's close to the park.

Mixed Experience: Good food and drink but Poor Service Today

I’ve been to this place a few times before, and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. The staff used to be friendly, and I’ve enjoyed both their burger, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. On previous visits, the service was great, and I looked forward to coming back.

However, my visit today was quite disappointing. I ordered my usual coffee, which was good, but when my girlfriend asked for a cold coffee with oat milk (which was clearly listed on their menu), she was informed they didn’t have it. While it’s understandable that places can run out of stock, the response from the staff was disheartening. Instead of apologizing or explaining the situation, they simply said, "I don't have it." When I asked whether they ever had the protein drink also listed on the menu, the response was, "I don't know why it's there. We never had it."

It's okay if items aren’t available, but a more polite and professional response would have been appreciated. A simple acknowledgment, an apology, or even a suggestion for alternatives could have made the experience much better. Sadly, this lack of courtesy overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable visit.

I hope the management addresses the staff's approach to customer service, as this is not the experience I’m used to at this place.

Great potential in a beautiful location, but a letdown if you are expecting to have a great beer and burger by the water. We ordered the jalapeño cheddar burger which had truffle oil on it presumably leftover from other burgers (we specially ordered this one as it did not have truffle oil) and the chipotle burger where the guac was off. On top of this, the beer was obviously very watered down. Definitely a better option to get burgers from Pete’s and bring them down to the waterfront.

I’ve never heard of this place before visiting Hunter Point South Park two days ago. I was hungry and decided to grab a bite to eat. I noticed that the line was long which was a pretty good indication that I hit the jackpot with this place.

I perused the menu and decided to keep it simple and stick with the hot honey chicken tenders and an order of Belgian fries with a lemonade to wash it all down.

It was a long wait time for me to receive my order on Sunday because it was super busy. I noticed lots of people who ordered after me receiving their orders and I wasn’t the only customer who also had this same issue. Orders should be fulfilled in the order in which they are received depending on what is ordered.

However, this wasn’t going to deter me from trying this food. My order was finally ready and my insides were jumping for joy. One bite into the first hot honey tender almost took me out and then I understood why the wait for the food is a little longer. It is because of the quality of the chicken tender and it was piping hot and quite delicious.

Let’s talk about the Belgian fries which I’ve never had before, oh my gooodness they were so amazing! The lemonade was excellent. On a scale of 1-10, I would give them a 10. I enjoyed the food so much that I came back the following day to order the same exact meal. That’s how good the food is. Great job Frank Ottomanilli’s!

I got a drink during the hot day in summer at Hunter point south park on dancing festival. It was early evening, and they ran out of the drink I like so I had to order something else, but it is ok anyway. Good chilling out place by the water.

We showed up for the sunset, Salsa music / dancing, Beers and Burgers.

The food was decent and affordable. Not 5 star quality, but definitely did not cost $20 either. The bun and vegetables were fresh and it was well made. The pitcher of beer was a tad pricey, but, we enjoyed every ounce.

The whole Thursday night dance atmosphere was fantastic. The
salsa DJ kept old Cuban and Puerto Rican salsa playing the full time. It was rich and the floor was full of dancers of all skill levels and EVERYONE had a smile on their face. There were a few gentlemen who brought their own percussion instruments with them and they played along to the music to make the experience even more authentic.

Frank was walking around and made sure everyone was safe, the tables were clean, and that everyone was enjoying themselves. That's a man that cares about the customer experience.

The sunset was magnificent. Not a cloud in the sky and the cool breeze off the East river was refreshing.

This evening at Frank Ottomanelli's couldn't have been a more perfect experience.

We will be back, definitely on Thursdays, but on other days too.
