REPLY TO @ LAURA C REVIEW (2 weeks ago)

Hi Laura I am Kimberly, I want to start off by saying I apologize for any miscommunication that might’ve made you uncomfortable and want to ruin my hospitality reputation by using my legal name in this public review.

I take pride in providing excellent service especially to those in my community that need special accommodations like being pregnant, working at Frank ottomanali is a fast paced environment, although I enjoy taking my time sometimes so each customer feels comfortable and valued unfortunately moving a bit faster is what’s best for ALL CUSTOMERS, I was asked to remove ice from the 3rd lemonade that was made for you guys, you first asked for a classic lemonade then a blue lemonade then switched back to the classic and after I made all 3 I was then expected to removed a piece of ice which I would’ve had to do with my bare hands and I declined because it was un sanitary, but I recommend the best option for you was to remove the ice independently. I remember our encounter vividly because you walked off and then returned extremely hostile, and I was surprised by your abrupt change of tone because our conversation was friendly and respectful, you returned to ask for my name because you mentioned you wanted to write a GOOD review about me, which I found to be untrue because you did not mention any of this at the register. You smiled and said you liked the service, which seems that your credibility and opinion is not trustworthy.”

Unfortunately I am suddenly no longer a employee there, so hopefully your review helped :) once again sorry for any inconvenience Laura

We stopped by today for drinks with my friend and her baby. I had a beer, and my friend ordered a lemonade. Kimberly served us during our visit.

Overall, it was a pleasant stop for a drink. One small thing that stood out was that my friend asked if she could have light ice in her lemonade while it was being prepared, but the request wasn't accommodated. It was a minor detail, though the interaction felt a bit less welcoming than we would have expected. Little moments of flexibility and hospitality can make a big difference in the overall guest experience.

Other than that, we enjoyed our visit and appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. 🌞

Ordered and paid for lamb burger and after 20 min wait they say they don't have lamb. Asked the sale to be voided, the girl at the cashier's gave me a receipt that showed a sale and not a void so none of them have any clue what they are doing. Terrible waste of time, do not buy!

Bad food, loud music every weekend and some week nights.
Complete lack of consideration for people who wants to enjoy quietly waterfront and surrounding residents.
(The music is far too loud and heavy bass goes straight through walls and windows). A business in a residential area has a basic responsibility to be a good neighbor, and this establishment fails miserably

Really cool outside spot near gantry state park and the hunters point ferry station. Great vibes at night in the summer. The burgers were ok. Smash burger was definitely the better of the burgers we ordered. Their motto is “americas freshest burger.” I guess the fine print is “americas stalest bun.” Cmon guys. Get super fresh buns or put that thing on the griddle. Fries were home made and tasty. Service was friendly

This establishment is absolutely terrible. I hope the city takes action against it. They bother everyone who tries to eat there, even though there's a sign that says they won't. Don't support this place at all. Just sit on the grass and bring your own food and drinks instead.

I ordered a Double Lamb Burger, one large order of fries, one small order of fries, and a tea. Although I had requested to add two double burgers—which are listed at $16.50 each, compared to the $14.50 price for a standard burger—I was charged an additional $6, and I still don't understand what that extra charge was for. Could someone please provide an explanation? I’ve attached a photo of today's menu, which is displayed digitally in the main window. Everything was great—thank you. However, I get the distinct impression that the pricing wasn't entirely transparent. The patties themselves turned out to be airy; the meat mixture contained very little actual meat—they must add other ingredients inside, likely some vegetables. Consequently, I didn't get much meat to eat, even though I had ordered a double-patty burger. The bun, however, was good and of high quality; the vegetable toppings were adequate, and the sauce was average.

The Atmosphere is amazing and it just sucks that the food is so bad. Hopefully they get their act together or get replaced but being that you can listen to good music by the east river and drink beer while watching the sunset over manhattan will probably keep them in business. I wish they had more non alcoholic options.

I honestly don’t know what the low scores are talking about. This is a gem! Lights out views of Manhattan, delicious burgers, chicken and fresh fries! Have a beer on the water while enjoying the sights for under $50?!? Where in NYC can you do that? Take the ferry over to Hunterspoint South and have a great afternoon with friends and family. My son is 16 months and knows, 10 words. His critique of the food, Yum!

I’ve been a local for a few years now. Met Frank personally. He owns a butcher shop so I’ve always found it reassuring that he sources his own meat. I’ve also seen Frank in the kitchen providing quality control. I personally go for the burgers, which I love. He also tries to come up with new events each year. Yes, the music is a little loud sometimes. I’ve messaged him and he was very kind/receptive. I see Frank try and appreciate the atmosphere he tries to create. The 1 stars with no comments look concerning because bad experiences are valid but what’s your reasoning? Anyway, I’d recommend Franks - coming from a local.

They have outdoor couches that are comfortable and the most beautiful view. The best part is they have REAL NEWSPAPERS on a wooden rack right there for you to read while you sit and chat. This was a wonderful place to hang out.
