Came with my mom under the expectation to chat, have a coffee and explain some work-related stuff. I used a tablet so nothing too big or a huge set-up. I was just translating some stuff for her.
The girl with the glasses by the register was super sweet and attentive, as well as the young man at the bar.
However another girl with long pink hair came up and asked me to put the tablet away. I told her I had read the sign that said “no tablets on weekends and limit of 2hrs” and today being a Monday, I didn’t see why I was being asked to do that she said it’s a “public holiday” and asked me to put it away if it got busy.
But I had already paid $20 for TWO drinks, so it’s not like I’m staying in the space for free.
I understand if a customer has been there for a long time, brings out their laptop and doesn’t order anything (I’ve worked as a barista at multiple locations before) I’m not playing music, I’m not being loud, or annoying anybody.
I paid, I tipped, but I’m not going to withstand being harassed for using technology under a completely socially acceptable environment.

Injermi croffle- 9/10
Love the nutty flavors of the croffle. It was perfectly paired with vanilla ice cream.
Blueberry latte- 8.5/10
Very light and creamy, and it was not too sweet!
Strawberry latte-9/10
Same as the blueberry latte, but I prefer the taste of strawberry more
Jeju island- 8/10
The drink is very pretty. If affogato was a drink, it would be this.
Brown cheese croffle- 7.9/10
I prefer the injermi croffle more, this one was a bit too cheesy flavor for me. It is salty and sweet.

Been here a couple of times, last few times I went the AC was broken upstairs. Their black sesame drink & croffle is really amazing and the drink is made with soy milk so I recommend that. For an NYC cafe, I’m very shocked that this place doesn’t have any alternative milk options, despite it being a norm here AND also having soy milk in their inventory. Like their galaxy pour cake, I didn’t realize the liquid was made up of dairy cream, so I couldn’t eat it & was a waste of money. There are plenty of market options for creamy non-dairy milks, watery nondairy milks are (almost) a thing of the past now. Maybe offer sherbet options too.
Also they updated their menu sometime last month or two, and ………..all I can say is it’s a unique take for sure…….but please revert back to a simpler and actual photo menu…

The only reason why you'd come here is to order aesthetically pleasing dessert and drinks. I came here for my birthday and ordered the berry cake, thinking it would be a cake with berries or whatnot. The inside was green??? And it didn't really taste like berries or strawberries??? Would not ever come back.

The coffee is not bad, and the cheese cake is also Ins friendly but somehow too sweet.
The place is a bit miserable, when I placed my order, two staff at the counter were arguing and cursing at each other…. Later they apologized to me and told me that it’s not my business…. ?
Anyway, this is definitely not the place I would recommend …there’s no hospitality at all….

Croffle was big but a little burnt and too much cream
Delivered on everything! Got their mushroom cheese cake and rainbow cake! They weren’t only beautiful, they were pretty tasty and big. The cheesecake had a nice intense cream cheese flavor, which I prefer over too sweet. The rainbow cake was very pretty and the cake inside was lighter and fruity which was well enjoyed!

Staff is so rude. Never again.
Lovely Korean cafe in Flushing. Drinks and food are presented in a unique way.
Taste wise, the drinks are decent. The food is average.
The atmosphere is pleasant, I love how quiet it is. This cafe is more on the pricey side, so I’d recommend coming here for a mid day snack.

Very cute place, it gets crowded but isn't too loud, and the desserts and coffee were good and reasonably priced. If you don't go expecting something fancy, I think you'll really enjoy this place. It's small, but once it's full, they do takeout.

Large spacious bi level place that plays music (at least on weekends) pretty busy
Since the cafe opened, it’s been on my must visit list! I arrived right at opening, and thoroughly enjoyed the general atmosphere of the cafe. The space is bright and inviting, and the music makes for a fun time. The employee who helped me was attentive, and very helpful as well. Water was complimentary, which was great in this hot weather! Since I did visit at opening, only certain items were available on the menu (this is something I would say the cafe could advertise just so customers are aware.) There was also a longer wait since the items needed to be freshly prepared. We were on a time crunch so we were a little nervous, but the wait wasn’t too bad, and the food arrived not too long after.
I ordered the Piggy Bar croffle. I have had a few croffles in my life, but this for sure ranks at the very top of my list. The buttery flavor of the croffle paired especially well with the strawberry jam, and ice cream. I took a bit of my sister’s yakwa croffle, and it tasted just as delicious and reminiscent of an actual yakwa cookie.
Overall I enjoyed my time at Gong Gan, and I would love to visit when a new menu comes out or even during the evening for the bar!
