I was walking by during this past weekend (8/22/2020) and it looks like the restaurant is closed. The gate was down and there was no sign up to mark the restaurant at all.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Went to my Plan B - Manhattan JS. Dumplings are good, except dumpling sauce needs more vinegar (and ginger). Stop making it so sweet bro, I ain't no lao wai. Otherwise, it's all good.

The other dishes, (lo mein, fried rice, and sesame chicken) that my friends and I got were pretty good but nothing special about it. The service is decent and the price is very fair. The soup dumplings makes it very worth coming back. I would definitely recommend you to come here and get the soup dumplings!!

I've been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember. I remember in the early days when this place would always have a huge line; you'd have to wait for a very long time get seated, but it was always worth it because the food was amazing. Not sure what happened in the recent years, but there wasn't much of a line anymore, but my family and I would still agree that THIS is the best Xiao Long Bao restaurant in Flushing. The xiao long bong are always so good and juicy on the inside, and the flavor is outstanding. The other side dishes are also really good. I usually get drunken chicken and Shanghai noodles, and they never disappoint. Seriously, no other xiao long bao restaurant in Flushing is as good as Joe's. Hopefully they open soon!

The food is great. The staff is rude and the place is kinda dingy. Parking and getting to the restaurant is an inconvenience. They rush you out so they can serve the next guess.
This is by far the best EVERYTHING I ever had Chinese period! And trust me, I've had everything on the menu from chicken to beef, pork, rice cakes and the very best soup dumplings NYC can offer! Wow I live this place...

This place is known for xiao long bao(XLB) aka soup dumpling for so many years. The skin/cover for the XLB is too thick for my liking. Very doughy. The soup isn't amazing for the pork Version and crab version. But the crab XLB has a very strong crab flavor. They use real crab meat to make it. There was even a piece of the crab shell in the dumpling. The shredded pork with carrot was sweet and filled with starch. Not for me. This place is pricey compared to other Shanghai restaurants nearby.

Definitely your traditional Chinese food. I’ve heard the hype about the soup dumplings and wanted to try it out. Definitely delicious and the price is reasonable for what you get. We also ordered other dishes, all were fantastic and came out fresh. The wait time to get the food was decent as well.
