I've been a loyal customer and have purchased many bubble tea drinks here over time. I chose to support this business because I wanted a bubble tea shop to succeed on Metropolitan. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have left me deeply disappointed.
When I saw a BOGO deal on Uber Eats, I decided to take advantage of it. I picked up my drinks and went to sit in the outdoor garden area--an area that doesn't offer table service and is typically used by customers. Shortly after, a rude cashier approached me and told me I had to leave because the drinks were from an Uber Eats order. There is no signage or notice indicating that Uber Eats customers are not allowed to sit on the premises.
Despite being frustrated, I continued to support the business because my kids and their friends enjoy the drinks, even though I find them too sugary. On a hot day, I ordered drinks for my children and planned to head home. My daughter's friend decided to stay at the shop after ordering four drinks and desserts. Yet again, the same staff member came over and told us to leave--specifically because my daughter's drink was from an Uber Eats order.
This policy is confusing, inconsistent, and frankly, off-putting. They don't provide table service, yet they act as if the outdoor space is exclusive to full-paying, in-person orders--something not clearly communicated to customers. If promotional or delivery orders are not allowed to be consumed on the premises, that should be stated upfront. When I go to other bubble tea places that provides promotional deals, never have I once been asked to leave because I purchased a promotional item. It's COMPLETELY BELITTLING! shame on you for treating your customers that way. To that woman working there- YOU should not work in the food service. Even if your policy was that uber eats customer cannot sit inside, it can be said nicer. Have some tact. So classless.
It's unfortunate to see a local business treat loyal customers this way. I won't be returning--and I hope they reconsider how they train their staff and treat their patrons.
This is just the best Bubble Tea store of New York City
Come over if you wanna have a 5 starts bubble tea, it’s amazing, staff pretty nice, I told the guy what I like and what I don’t he recommended me the best Lychee jelly
I'm a regular at this spot! The private-feeling eat-in space is so relaxing, and the whole place is always sparkling clean. The staff are all super kind, especially Alice—she's always providing amazing, quick service! Her drinks are the best! All their drinks are delicious, and the boba is always perfectly soft and yummy. This place is a real gem in Metropolitan Shopping Street, where good cafes are hard to find!
Everything it's delicious 😋 ,but only issue it's the chubby Asian women that works at the shop, needs to be more friendly to customers
Such a cute spot that’s open for a little late night treat. A very clean bathroom and plenty of seating. The outdoor seating is very cute and spacious. They have couches and seats for dinning and a good selection of drinks and desserts. The Oreo smoothie was amazing and their key lime pie cake wasn’t too sweet.
A Lukewarm Experience on a Hot Day
Today (I guess it’s a Friday the 13 makes sense) was a scorching day, and I was out walking my dog when I finally spotted this bubble tea shop I’d been meaning to try. Perfect—grab a drink to go and keep strolling.
But the second I opened the door, dreams fizzled. No “hello,” no “what can I get started for you?” Just a blunt, “No dogs.” Not even a tail-wag’s grace period.
Now, I get it—some places have pet policies. But there wasn’t a single sign on the door. Not even a paw print with a line through it. Just silence… until the rejection. And before you suggest it—no, I wasn’t planning to let my dog climb the counter and order a tapioca shot. I was just hoping to grab a drink to go. Quick in, quick out. A happy customer with a happy pup.
Instead, it seems they’d rather lose a sale (and a future loyal customer) than let a well-behaved dog stand by his human for 30 seconds. Disappointing, especially when so many local spots are finding simple, pet-friendly ways to be welcoming—think a sign, a hook outside, a smile.
For now, I’ll take my thirst (and my dollars) elsewhere. There’s no shortage of bubble tea in this city. But next time I walk by, I’ll remember: this spot was all ice, no warmth.
I rarely leave reviews, but the level of disregard I experienced at your establishment today was unacceptable.
After ordering a drink, I watched as it was placed precariously on an overly small, fragile tray. Not surprisingly, the drink tipped and spilled—in full view of your staff. What shocked me most wasn’t the spill itself, but the reaction (or lack thereof) from your team.
No one offered to remake the drink. No apology. No acknowledgment. Just silence. As though a paying customer receiving nothing in return was normal protocol.
This isn’t about a single drink—it’s about principle and basic hospitality. If a business can’t take responsibility for a mistake it clearly witnessed, it raises serious concerns about its customer service values.
Love their Thai tea with lychee jelly
My daughter and I love this place. We always enjoy the milk tea, smoothies and they have a chocolate to die for! The layers of chocolate are from cocoa from Ecuador.

They are always kind. They have a cute dining area. They open late which is very convenient.
I love this boba tea spot! I’ve become friendly with Alice who works there since we both taught English in Korea. She makes the best boba tea suggestions for me and is so sweet. Their drinks and food are outstanding, and their service is even better. You will love it all, and the place is decorated very creatively. It’s very instagram-able!
Great spot would def come back, the coffee boba was great !
If you’re looking for a cozy spot with delicious drinks, treats, and a warm ambiance, Julieats Cafe is a must-visit! My husband and I stopped by recently, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular.
My husband ordered the mint mojito coffee, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with just the right hint of mint. I went for the cheesecake dream, and oh my, it was incredible! Every sip was rich, creamy, and absolutely indulgent.
We couldn’t resist trying some sweet treats too, and we’re so glad we did! The vanilla éclair was light and full of flavor, the chocolate chunk cookie was soft with generous chunks of chocolate, and the classic fudge bites were decadently rich. Each dessert was a masterpiece, making it hard to pick a favorite.
The cafe’s ambiance truly stands out. We were drawn to the outdoor space, which was inviting and beautifully decorated. The festive Halloween decor added a whimsical touch that made our visit even more enjoyable.
On top of the fantastic food and drinks, the service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. The staff even surprised us with a few extra little treats! It’s the small gestures like these that make a place memorable.
Julieats Cafe offers not only mouthwatering flavors but also a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a delightful cafe experience!
