My sister, auntie and I have been to this place. The three of us ordered the lunch special, which was beef with broccoli, fried tilapia, and bean sprouts. The service was wonderful, and the food was wonderful. The atmosphere was that the waiter was showing a king crab for people to take pictures, and many others.

The vegetables was overcooked, the fish that was shown seemed fresh but when it was brought out was not the fresh one that was shown, and food was overpriced. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back and do not recommend.
The entire experience is getting worse and worse every time I visit. Spare ribs are mostly fatty, string beans unpicked, rice looked and tasted like overnight leftover, soup bowl cracked. The food came out cold. Won’t come back any more.

This is my family's restaurant of choice when it comes to family reunions, celebrations and gatherings. No frills, fantastic Cantonese food with amazing dishes like king crab, lamb, and fish. It is BYOB if you want it to be and the service is always quick and fantastic, every time we come back, hospitality is consistent!

I had a very disappointing experience at King Crab House in Flushing. Despite making a reservation beforehand, the manager refused to acknowledge it when we arrived. Worse still, the prices we'd previously agreed upon seemed to arbitrarily change depending on the manager's mood. The lack of professionalism and respect for customer agreements was extremely frustrating. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place if you value honesty and reliable service.

You should check the prices when you pay! They charge you more if you don’t pay attention. Be careful!

Ordered the “mei cai kou rou” — no mei cai in sight. Maybe it’s just for decoration… in the name. Food came out in 5 minutes, which would be impressive if I didn’t feel like I was eating straight out of a microwave packet. The pot was literally half empty, or half full if you’re an optimist. Highlight of the meal? The free soup and my Sprite. Says a lot.

Pros
- Amazing food! I would go as far to say it was the best authentic food I’ve ever tasted
- Waitress was nice
Cons
- Didn’t feel welcomed there. As soon as we arrived the hosts didn’t even smile and refused to sit me and my guest at another table when requested. Despite this we stayed to eat.
- We asked for wine and the host said they do not sell alcohol but when another family of the same racial and ethnic group as the host walked in they were greeted with big smiles and given a choice of several wine options. Interesting…
- Me and my guest ordered the most expensive item on the menu. We ordered the whole king crab, shrimp fried rice, and bok Choy. We also wanted a lobster and the waiter talked us out of it. My concern is why are you telling us no when we are saying this is what we want? Is it because of how me and my guest look? Did she think we were getting out of our budget? These people do not realize that I could have been a millionaire or billionaire. No one should ever “assume” what someone can and cannot afford. Would hate to have to buy that restaurant. You never know! So we didn’t get the lobster 🦞 unfortunately because we wanted that too.
- When they brought out our food it was placed in a way that nothing could be reached without us getting up. Interestingly enough when a family of the same racial and ethnic background received their food they gave them a table food spinner so they did not have to reach over and get up to get their food. We spent over $500 and that is the treatment we got. I would never ever again step a foot in a restaurant that wants my money but treats me so poorly. It was obvious they did not want us there. Well although their food was the best because they do not know how to treat paying customers of diverse backgrounds who are not from where they come from with any level of kindness I will not return.
If you want great food I highly recommend this place but if you want to be treated nice and feel welcomed go somewhere else.

Hidden gem for sure! As an American, I would be intimidated to enter this place as it looks very foreign and traditional. Pretty much like a restaurant in a China. But as I went with someone who recommended it, I entered and felt like I was transported to a place full of culture. Traditional Chinese. But even better are their lunch specials….
Choosing from a list of over 20 dishes that come with a soup for $12.99, I didn’t know which to pay! We finally came to the decision of getting the whitebait stir fried and the beef with peppers and onions. While the second dish lacked flavor or anything special, I LOVED the whitebait stir fried. The fish was so crispy with so much flavor. It almost felt like it was seasoned or marinated with salted egg yolk. Stir fried with some fresh veggies, I would get this dish again if I come back. The lunch specials also comes with a soup and a bowl of rice. A deal worth getting!
The service was also very attentive. They constantly refilled our tea. And it was lovely getting to see some traditional decor and furniture, especially the gigantic Chinese royalty chair at the front.

My sister, auntie, and I went to this restaurant on a weekday for lunch. The food was so good that we ordered many items, such as salt-and-pepper pork chops, beef with broccoli, and more. After the food, the waiter served a king crab that the other table ordered. The food was wonderful, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was quiet.
