We are so excited for their storefront to open soon! Kora is a wonderful addition to Sunnyside/Woodside. They have the tastiest spins on donuts, bringing in Filipino influences. From their pop-up location at Alewife, we've loved their ever-changing donut and cookie rotations along with their special version of the Jollibee peach mango pie and Thanksgiving ube and buko pie and salted tsokonut pie. Kora is the BEST! We’ve been huge fans of their donuts and cookies for awhile and decided to order some pies for Thanksgiving. We got the Ube & Buko pie and the Salted Tsokonut pie. Both of them were exceptional. First, their pie crust is truly the best I’ve ever had. It’s so flaky and buttery, it’s like they wrapped their pie in croissant dough. The Ube pie is lovely and light. The layer of coconut under the Ube custard gives this pie a really satisfying texture....
My husband and I are huge fans of Kora! So much so that we wanted to showcase their doughnuts at our wedding welcome party this past September. We ordered the classic ube doughnut and our two favorite flavors -- sampalok apple fritter and pili & j cruller. The doughnuts were a hit with all of our guests!
