I took hubby for Father's Day. Everywhere else in the area had a 1 1/2 hour wait. We walked in and sat down right away. We had several dishes, and the prices were excellent. I forgot to take pictures. Everything was delicious.
This is by far our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, lost count on how many times we had dinner here, we’ve tried everything in the menu and they always treat us soooo good, we love being your neighbors! ❤️ I recommend trying the steak bites with chimichurri and the grilled octopus.
The meat platter for two can probably serve three people and we were starving before eating it too! Sopka salad was so simple but delicious. Beautiful decor, good food and service.

I came here by recommendation. And I didn't know that Lagano Bar and Restaurant is located literally next to famous Kyklades. Interesting venue, looks warm, someone has invested a lot of time in arrangements and design. Good energy, a lot of potential, nice bar, although people could smile more, this is Hospitality Industry after all. Music selection is extremely nice, and they have a live music in the evening. Very original lighting fixtures. Clean & neat place. Kudos to the owner/manager (I suppose) who selected Sambonet silverware. Stylish people run this place, there is no doubt. Cute and agreable local place with Balkan food. Now about the food. I expected more from my appetizers (Lagano zakuska), spreads were much better than cold cuts (prosciutto should be better quality and sliced thinner). The main course (Karadjordjeva snicla) was better, a nice surprise were mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables (super tasty, perfectly executed) that go with this traditional stuffed pork breaded schnitzel (good serving size, excellent price). I liked the fact they serve Bosnian beer (Sarajevsko), but would like if they had some dark beer. They used to have German beer Weihenstephaner, but not anymore, which is sad since that is the oldest brewery in the world (since 1040). I have to try some other food next time in order to give an overall review of this place. Service was formal and overall ok for my taste, but it is interesting that my server did not ask not a single time how the food tasted and whether I liked it. Not so bad for the first time, but there is always space for improvements. Bench cushions (tables 1-3) should be changed ;)

We had such an amazing birthday party last night at Lagano! I cannot even tell how much we all loved everything , from the service to the atmosphere and guys the food?! Amazing , it was delicious ! So happy we made the best choice ! Can not wait to go back! I wanted to thank you to Chris, Alex and the chef , you made the celebration so unique !

Fabulous lunch experience! The gracious and personable Miljan was my host and helped me to order a 3-course lunch. And afterwards, offered me a piece of cake to sample the baked goods. Everything was delicious, professionally and uniquely prepared and presented. I highly recommend this restaurant in every respect. An open, fresh and clean space with many settings inside, outside and on the roof even! And the energy from the door to the bar, the kitchen is open and welcoming.
I just moved to Astoria from Los Angeles. We found the best local restaurant. The chef is amazing and greets you. The service is impeccable. The food was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Astoria! My husband and I always bring friends and family here when they visit the neighborhood. The staff is always so incredibly nice and generous (Miljan is usually our server and is so attentive and hilarious). We always have a wonderful time here, whether it’s a quiet weekday lunch or a packed Saturday night.
Finally got to eat here and was not disappointed in any way! My boyfriend and I had an incredible experience.
The service was warm and the atmosphere so inviting. The jams were also a vibe.
We really enjoyed the mushroom croquettes and the Sopska salad.
Their mocktail fruit punch was perfection and my boyfriend loved the no hard feelings which is their version of a margarita.
We will definitely be back and can’t recommend this place enough!
