After a new renovation the food is Spicy and crisp taste as ever .
We really enjoyed the dishes that we had from the vegetarian selection to the noodle dishes that all came with a kick and smooth taste.
The String beans w garlic a stand out with the beef noodle soup and Ma po Tofu.
They also have a great lunch special menu for $10 a dish including rice.

Picked this one randomly after giving up other restaurants due to long waiting time in a Saturday evening. The no wait turned out to be the only good thing, but for a reason. Disappointed by both food and service. Not authentic at all. Food is bland, which is bad as a Szechuan Restaurant. Twice cooked pork was too thick, and stewed pig feet tasted a bit gamey. The staff was aggressive in asking for tips without courtesy, confronting and trying to educate us how much we should pay.

Visiting Lao Chengdu for the second time this year! This time I came specifically to try their new dishes. I ordered the dry-fried shredded squid and the crispy garlic fish. The squid was definitely my new favorite. The squid legs are a good size, lightly fried, super crunchy, and really addictive. The fish dish was pretty good too, but I personally prefer the crunchiness of the squid.

I also ordered the leek and pork stir-fry and shredded pork in garlic sauce. Both are classic Sichuan dishes, and Lao Chengdu does an excellent job keeping them authentic and flavorful. Overall, another great meal here! Oh also both the staffs are very kind and friendly.

One of the classic spots in Flushing! The food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, with a cozy atmosphere that feels welcoming. Definitely worth coming back — great place for authentic flavors at a fair price!
